Celem tego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badania opinii pracowników i kierowników na temat ingerowania przełożonych w styl życia podwładnych. Na początku przedstawiono motywy podjęcia badań oraz wstępne rezultaty analizy lite¬ratury. Część zasadnicza opracowania zawiera opis metodyki badań oraz ich wyniki. W celu zebrania opinii badanych posłużono się ankietą elektroniczną (CAWI). W badaniu uczestniczyło 1002 kierowników i 1000 pracowników z polskich organizacji. Rezultaty analiz pokazują, że zarówno pracownicy, jak i kierownicy są przeciwni mieszaniu się przełożonych w styl życia podwładnych. Kierownicy dają sobie prawo do ingerowania w dbałość o wygląd podwładnych i w palenie/niepalenie papierosów. Badani pracownicy, częściej niż kierownicy, uważają, że przełożony ma prawo ingerować w ich styl życia.

The objective of the article is to present the results of a survey of employee and manager opinions on interference on the part of superiors in the lifestyles of subordinates. The motives for taking up this research as well as preliminary results of an analysis of literature are presented first. The main part of the paper contains a description of research methodology as well as its results. An electronic questionnaire (CAWI) was used to collect opinions. A total of 1,002 managers and 1,000 employees from Polish organizations participated. Analysis of the results shows that both employees and managers are against inference in the lifestyles of subordinates. Managers give themselves the right to intervene in the appearance of subordinates as well as the question of smoking/not smoking. Interviewed employees, more often than managers, are of the view that superiors have the right to interfere in their lifestyles.
