Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie w świetle koncepcji ordoliberalnych zasadności ingerencji państwa w gospodarce. Omówiono istotę regulacji w teorii ekonomii i w praktyce gospodarczej. Ordoliberalizm został następnie porównany do liberalnego i keynesowskiego podejścia do wybranych obszarów działania gospodarki, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem tych związanych z istnieniem monopoli. Zarysowano działanie rynków pracy i usług telekomunikacyjnych w odniesieniu do stosowanych na nich regulacji.

The paper presents ordoliberal concepts of the governance of economic resources. The importance of the economic freedom as the fundamentals of economic activity is highlighted in the article. The selected premises of ordoliberalism are presented in the light of the classical and Keynesian theory. The major focus is, however, on the role of the state as an economic regulator. The examples of the regulation in labor market and telecommunications sector are introduced at the end of the writing.
