The purpose of this article is to introduce organizational application of allostasis. This is to be used as a very convenient replacement of homeostasis which has been lost due to adverse circumstances created by a turbulent environment. This application is derived by the continuous diagnosis and observation of the chosen sample. The sample has been positioned in various organizational situations represented by FOGT’s businesses organization from 1982 to 2014. The situation is determined by a recognized level of organizational effectiveness or potential ineffectiveness caused by dysfunctions created by surroundings. In such circumstances organizational homeostasis based on stability does not exist and it has to be replaced by allostasis. When homeostasis represents the idea of achieving organizational stability through constancy, allostasis represents the idea of achieving stability through change. This article presents a brief summary of the results of the diagnosis based on qualitative, long lasted depth analysis. The author's tool “The business life cycle model of organizational effectiveness influenced by dysfunctions” is based on the research of the organizational situation. The summary interprets all outcomes of the research and expresses the sense of implemented organizational adaptation through changes as allostasis.

The purpose of this article is to present the summary of studies accomplished under a research project concerning the vital role of early identification of the urgent need to take decisive allostatic action for business survival. This paper provides an overview of the research on early identification of the urgent need to take decisive allostatic action for business survival. There was implemented a very specific procedure of diagnosing and positioning organizational situation represented by FOGT business during a particular period of time from 2015 to 2017. The organizational situation of researched company is determined by a recognized level of organizational effectiveness or potential ineffectiveness caused by dysfunctions. The diagnosis is based on qualitative, long lasted depth analysis of the organizational situation of the researched company by means of the author's own implement named "The Business Life Cycle Model of Organizational Effectiveness Influenced by Dysfunctions". The measuring instrument (grading system) of this model is used to introduce the outcomes of the research work. All such way collected outcomes of each individual diagnosis gives the picture of overall organizational performance of given company annually, during the whole period of the research. The outcomes are adequately visualized on an appropriate scale, making the most of the model.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie zsyntetyzowanych wyników badań sytuacji organizacyjnej portowej firmy przeładunkowej PH w latach 1989-2014. Sytuacja organizacyjna badanej firmy wyznaczana jest przez jej poziom sprawności organizacyjnej w danych warunkach działania narzucanych przez otoczenie. Diagnoza sprawności organizacyjnej opiera się na jakościowej, pogłębionej analizie obszarów działania badanego przedsiębiorstwa. Badania prowadzono z wykorzystaniem autorskiego modelu sprawnościowo-dysfunkcyjnego cyklu życia organizacji. Skala przedmiotowego modelu została wykorzystana do syntetycznej prezentacji wyników zrealizowanych badań umożliwiając wgląd w sytuację organizacyjną badanego podmiotu w całym okresie objętym badaniami.

The purpose of this article is to present a summary of studies compiled under research concerning a company's situation for organizational effectiveness of two selected Polish seaport companies from 2013 to 2017. Researched PH and TR companies operate in the same port area but it is not a direct neighbourhood. The ranges of activity of both companies do not overlap. The research is focused on a very specific procedure of diagnosing and positioning an organizational situation represented by both companies from 2013 to 2017. The situation is determined by a recognized level of organizational effectiveness or potential ineffectiveness caused by dysfunctions. The diagnosis is based on a qualitative, long, in-depth analysis of the organizational situation of the companies by means of the specific model, “The Business Life Cycle Model of Organizational Effectiveness Influenced by Dysfunctions”. The measuring instrument (grading system) of this model is used to introduce the outcomes of the research work. All collected outcomes of each individual diagnosis gives the picture of an overall organizational performance of a given company annually, during the whole period of the research. The outcomes are adequately visualized on an appropriate scale, making the most of the model.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań sytuacji w zakresie efektywności organizacyjnej dwóch wybranych polskich przedsiębiorstw portowych w latach 2013-2017. Badane przedsiębiorstwa PH i TR działają w tym samym porcie, ale nie w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie. Zakresy działalności obu tych przedsiębiorstw nie pokrywają się. Badanie koncentruje się na bardzo specyficznej procedurze diagnozowania i pozycjonowania sytuacji organizacyjnej reprezentowanej przez badane przedsiębiorstwa w latach 2013-2017. Przedmiotową sytuację określa rozpoznany poziom efektywności organizacyjnej lub potencjalnej nieskuteczności spowodowanej dysfunkcjami. Diagnoza opiera się na jakościowej analizie sytuacji w zakresie efektywności organizacyjnej przedsiębiorstw za pomocą modelu sprawnościowo-dysfunkcyjnego cyklu życia organizacji biznesowej.

The purpose of the article is to introduce the results of carried out own research works based on specific procedure of diagnosing and positioning organizational situation represented by chosen Polish companies running their business during a particular period of time from 2004 to 2013. The research realizes its objectives taking into consideration the perspective and potential influences of Poland’s accession to European Union on these companies. The organizational effectiveness or potential ineffectiveness diagnoses are based on qualitative, long lasted depth analysis of adequately selected companies by means of author's own implement named “The Business Life Cycle Model of Organizational Effectiveness Influenced by Dysfunctions”. The measuring instrument (grading system) of this model is used to introduce the results of the research work. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań, prowadzonych na podstawie autorskiej proceduty diagnozowania i pozycjonowania sytuacji organizacyjnej przedsiębiorstwa. Badaniami objęto wybrane polskie firmy funkcjonujące w latach 2004-2013. Jednym z celów prowadzonych badań było określenie konsekwencji członkostwa Polski w UE dla badanych firm. Diagnoza efektywności organizacyjnej lub potencjalnej nieefektywności opiera się na jokościowej, pogłębionej analizie wieloaspektowych obszarów funkcjonowania organizacji, które mają charakter autorskiego modelu, prezentującego dysfunkcje organizacyjne. Wyniki badań diagnozują wydajność organizacyjną danej firmy tak w ujęciu rocznym, jak i w całym badanym okresie.
