Artykuł opisuje kwestie wyłaniania się dyskursu emancypacyjnego w pedagogice specjalnej. Nie ujmuje go przy tym jako tworzenia się odrębnej subdyscypliny, ale jako wysycanie treściami i wartościami emancypacyjnymi współczesnego podejścia do kwestii niepełnosprawności. Tekst przedstawia źródła zainteresowania problematyką emancypacji w polskiej pedagogice specjalnej oraz analizy ukazujące kategorie „podmiot” i „osoba” wśród głównych pojęć związanych z (sub)paradygmatem emancypacyjnym w tej nauce. Punktem wyjścia do tych analiz jest personalistyczne ujęcie Etyki chronienia, jako aksjologiczna podstawa działań wspierających osoby z niepełnosprawnością.

The article describes the issues of the emergence of emancipation discourse in special education. It does not include it as the creation of a separate sub-discipline, but as the saturation with content and emancipation values of the contemporary approach to the issue of disability. The text presents the sources of interest in the problems of emancipation in Polish special pedagogy and analysis, showing categories of “subject” and “person” among the main concepts related to the emancipation (sub)paradigm in this science. The starting point for these analysis is the personalistic approach to the Ethics of Protection, as the axiological foundation of activities supporting people with disabilities.
