The aim of this contribution is to introduce panpsychist motifs in the philosophy of Ladislav Hejdánek and to compare them with some other contemporary trends in the philosophy of mind, primarily that of David Chalmers. Hejdánek’s system remarkably fuses a continental understanding for the theme of subjectivity with a critique of the objectifying approach to reality prevailing in the natural science. Hejdánek starts from original ideas of G. W. Leibniz, A. N. Whitehead, P. Teilhard de Chardin, and most of all E. Rádl. The article seeks to show that Hejdánek’s considerations can even be inspirational for the contemporary global debate of this topic. In addition to the currently familiar texts, it builds on hitherto unpublished Diary of Ideas of Ladislav Hejdánek.
In this article, the philosophy of biology of the German philosopher Hans Jonas (1903– –1993) is presented in a concise form. According to this approach, it is necessary to project an anti-reductionist view of the human mind back into the whole evolutionary order, the climax of which is man. In this respect, only man, as embodied subjectivity, is capable of such a retrospective view. A disposition to the emergence of the inwardness of the organism is already contained in material nature itself, and it then develops in the course of evolution by its own powers up to the emergence of the human spirit. It exploits, in this regard, “openings“ in the causal nexus of nature, provided by quantum physics. Jonas is, here, characterised as a panpsychic and an attempt is made to categorise his panpsychism in terms of todays context, both from a philosophical point of view (G. Strawson, D. Chalmers), and a biological one (the phenomena of self‑assembly and self-organisation as sources of “order for free”).
The article presents the philosophical views of Feliks Młynarski on the genesis of matter and mechanisms of evolution included in the unpublished dissertation entitled Philosophy of Cosmic Evolution. I argue that these views - contrary to the author’s declaration - are not a kind of ontological dualism, but one of the versions of panpsychism known as pan(proto)cosmic psychism, which is a form of monism.

W artykule zostały zaprezentowane poglądy filozoficzne Feliksa Młynarskiego na genezę materii i mechanizmy ewolucji zawarte w nieopublikowanej rozprawie zatytułowanej Filozofia ewolucji kosmicznej.

Rougly speaking, panpsychism is the view, that everything is mind or have consciousness. Although the view has a long and venerable tradition, and becomes more and more popular in the contemporary debate, it still has many opponents. The aim of this article is to prove that panpsychism is the best metaphysical account of the nature of the ultimate stuff of reality. At the same time, it is a kind of physicalism, according to which experience (experientiality) is the fundamental stuff of all concrete objects.
Philip Goff’s book is an entry in the field of broadly defined philosophy of mind, as well as in the philosophy and methodology of natural sciences. It combines quite skillfully a popular scientific style with a more systematic scientific analysis. In addition to its central topic, which is the question of panpsychism, we find references to well-known thought experiments in the philosophy of consciousness. Despite numerous criticisms the book is a relative valuable addition to the existing literature, broadening the horizon of the ontological disputes about panpsychism in the context of natural science (physiology of higher nervous activity, neuroscience, quantum mechanics).

Poszerza ona horyzont ontologicznych sporów o panpsychizm – m.in. w kontekście przyrodoznawstwa (fizjologia wyższej czynności nerwowej, neuronauki, mechanika kwantowa).
