Wstęp: Bruksizm jest szkodliwą dla zdrowia parafunkcją, polegającą na niekontrolowanym zgrzytaniu zębami oraz ich zaciskaniu. Społeczeństwo boryka się z tym istotnym problemem zdrowotnym, jednak wiedza na jego temat jest bardzo niska. Cel badania: Ocena poziomu wiedzy pielęgniarek POZ na temat bruksizmu. Materiał i metody: Narzędziem badawczym był kwestionariusz złożony z 16 pytań. Badania przeprowadzono od stycznia do marca 2014r. Wzięło w nich udział 100 pielęgniarek zatrudnionych w 18 poradniach POZ i medycynie szkolnej województw: opolskiego oraz śląskiego. Warunkiem udziału w badaniu była zgoda dyrektorów placówek. Wyniki: 52% respondentek oceniło swój poziom wiedzy na temat bruksizmu jako przeciętny, 24% uznało go za niski, 15% ankietowanych nie posiadało wiedzy na ten temat, natomiast 6% respondentek określiło swój poziom wiedzy wysoko. Wnioski: W przyszłości powinno poszerzyć się badania na temat bruksizmu, szczególnie wśród pielęgniarek środowiskowych, które mają kontakt z pacjentami z POZ. Powinno się zwrócić uwagę na jego proflaktykę, w tym zwłaszcza na sposoby radzenia sobie ze stresem oraz uświadomienie pacjentom samego faktu istnienia tego zaburzenia.

Background: Bruxism is a dysfunction which constitutes a health threat causing an uncontrolled gnashing and gritting of one's teeth. This relevant health problem concerns a signifcant part of the population, however, only a few seem to be aware of this. Aim of the study: The assessment of the level of knowledge about bruxism among PHC nurses. Material and methods: The research tool was a questionnaire consisting of 16 questions. The study was conducted from January to March 2014. One hundred nurses working in 18 primary health care clinics and school medicine in Silesian and Opole voivodeships took part in it, after delivering the consent from the institutions where they are employed. Results: 52% of respondents rated their level of knowledge about bruxism as average, 24% found it too low, 15% of respondents had no knowledge of the subject, while 6% of the respondents assessed their level of knowledge as high. Conclusions: In the future, the study about bruxism ought to be extended, especially among district nurses who are in contact with PHC patients. It is necessary to pay attention to its prevention, especially the ways of coping with stress and the awareness of patients that the disorder might be a fact.
Współpraca pomiędzy pedagogami i logopedami stanowi istotny element w opiece nad dziećmi z zaburzeniami mowy, w tym z wadami wymowy. Nauczyciele powinni posiadać niezbędne minimum wiedzy logopedycznej, która pozwoli im zauważyć u wychowanków nieprawidłowości w rozwoju mowy, a także zidentyfikować czynności sprzyjające powstaniu zaburzeń w zakresie komunikacji językowej. Artykuł stanowi doniesienie z badań, których głównym celem było przedstawienie poziomu wiedzy nauczycieli oraz studentów edukacji wczesnoszkolnej i wychowania przedszkolnego na temat nieprawidłowości zespołu ustno-twarzowego i ich wpływu na powstanie zaburzeń artykulacyjnych. Celem badań było także poznanie opinii respondentów na temat potrzeby kształcenia pedagogów w tym zakresie.

Cooperation between educators and speech therapists represents an important element in the care of a child with speech disorders, including speech impediments. Teachers should also have the minimum of knowledge on speech therapy which will allow them to notice abnormalities in speech development in children as well as identify activities which promote the development of language communication disorders. The paper presents the findings of the research whose main aim was to present the level of knowledge of teachers and students of pre-school and early school education on abnormalities of the orofacial complex and their impact on the development of articulation disorders. In addition, the aim of the research was to get acquainted with the opinions of respondents on the need to educate teachers in this respect.
