Feature of the Polish sermons of the eighteenth century was the presence in them of syntactic parallels. In sermons from the years 1744-1796 held in the Library Sciencein Krakow Jesuit encounter among other forms of repetition in the position of mandatory consecutive sentences initialised, e.g. Obróć Oczy Twoie… . Użyj wrodzonego Ci Daru…, parallel with the verbal predicate inicjalnym indicative mode in the 3rd os. lp. or lm. present tense, e.g. Podbija Narody... . Pomnaża miliony... . Rozſzerza granice..., symmetries syntax in sentences with the alternative, e.g. Ożywia, albo umarza. Błogoſławi, albo odrzuca. Zachowuie, albo zatraca. Function as syntactic parallels cohesion-persuasive (cohesion-affective). Affect the transparency of the sermons. They are universal. There are secular journalism such as the Enlightenment, or the sermons of the twentieth century, they play an important role pragmatic - to minimize the distance between the pulpit and the faithful.
