Artykuł zawiera syntetyczne omówienie regulacji dotyczącej instytucji warunkowego zwolnienia, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zmian wprowadzonych nowelizacją Kodeksu karnego wykonawczego z dnia 16 września 2011 r. W toku przeprowadzonych rozważań dokonano szczegółowej analizy wybranych przepisów, wskazujących na ich mankamenty, braki oraz będące konsekwencją tego stanu rzeczy problemy w zakresie ich praktycznego zastosowania. Dostrzeżono jednak także i pozytywne rozwiązania, stanowiące zalążek zmian zmierzających w prawidłowym kierunku.

The article contains synthetic overview of provisions pertaining to the institution of parole, particularly the ones that have been changed by regulation of legal amendment from 16th September 2011. Careful considerations brought detailed analysis of chosen provisions, indicating their weakness, shortcomings and perceptible problems in the matter of their practical application. Nevertheless, there were also positive solutions perceived, as a beginning of positive changes tending to correct direction.
