The article concerns the role of motivation among early education teachers in striving for pedagogical mastery. The aim of the exploratory research was to outline the motives of early childhood education teachers in their pursuit of pedagogical mastery. The main challenge was to determine what factors motivate a teacher to strive for excellence and what methods are used to achieve it. This question was answered by collecting empirical evidence from January to May 2019. The research conducted by the author was of a mixed nature (quantitative and qualitative). The findings suggest that there are many motives for Polish teachers of early childhood education to achieve pedagogical mastery, but chief among them is financial gratification. In Poland, the amount of remuneration depends on one’s professional degree. A professional career and its further advancement is balanced with the journey to achieve pedagogical mastery.

The article deals with studying the process of forming physical education teachers’ pedagogical mastery in the context of native and foreign scholars’ views. It has been indicated that the problem of pedagogical activity and pedagogical mastery efficiency has been raised in the works of a number of scholars who developed the principles and criteria of such activity. Thus, such native pedagogues as D. Dmytrenko, S. Krysyuk, I. Maslikova V. Putsov, A. Volovychenko studied the organization and evaluation of pedagogical and methodical work of teachers as well as the measuring of teaching management effectiveness. We have concluded that the forming of future physical education teachers’ pedagogical mastery should include the analysis of the education content (syllabi; general, psychological and pedagogical, special subjects; their comparison and volume, etc.) and the study of future physical education teachers’ personality. It is based on the use of general approaches, namely, historical, theoretical and descriptive, experimental, qualimetric (sociological) and is carried out within the diagnosis of a more general concept – a level of professional training (professional competence, the ability to obtain and generate new knowledge, to creatively solve pedagogical problems).

The article presents the results of historical-pedagogical analysis of the creative heritage of progressive educators, associates and followers of K. Ushinsky, who laid the scientific foundations of pedagogical mastery and made a significant contribution to updating the teacher's professional training. In order to obtain objective data on the selected problem of research, a set of interrelated methods was used: general scientific (historical-pedagogical analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison), which became the basis for the study of procedural-content aspects of the development of ideas of teacher’s pedagogical mastery in the theory and practice of education in the investigated period. It was found out that the teachers of the late XIX and early XX centuries. with their scientific works laid the fundamental theoretical foundations of the development of ideas of pedagogical mastery; scientifically substantiated the ways of improving the teacher’s professional training; interpreting professional skills as a pedagogical phenomenon, elevated to the level of art and science. Pedagogical mastery was defined as individual creativity, based on knowledge of patterns and mechanisms of pedagogical process, which allows analyzing independently pedagogical phenomena, to find new teaching ideas, conclusions, principles in the theory and practice of teaching. The main feature of pedagogical mastery the teachers considered pedagogical culture and humanistic orientation of the teacher. Scientists have identified a number of criteria for assessing pedagogical mastery: the ability of the teacher to have the pedagogical technique necessary for the effective use of the system of methods of pedagogical influence; knowledge of a teacher related to the pedagogy of sciences (psychology, physiology, anthropology, ethics, etc.), which help the teacher to develop attention, memory, imagination, will, and other qualities in their pupils. Instructors, scientists distinguished the features of the teacher-master: the sincere love for children, the steadfastness of attention, patience, perseverance, diligent work, love for work, the gift of words, pedagogical tact, constant professional self-improvement, the desire to find the perfect methods of work. An important prerequisite for the achievement of pedagogical mastery was the pedagogical abilities and pedagogical vocation of man.

The article reveals the methodological foundations of psychological-pedagogical training of professional judges in the system of judicial education of Ukraine and Canada. The author, based on the analysis of professional literature, has proved that today there is no real global instrument for standardizing the content of training and selection of professional judges in the judiciary system, which would unite all the participants. This is due to differences in the historical aspect, the structure of the judicial systems of states. The result of the study was the definition of thirteen qualities, which are grouped into three blocks: an understanding of human relationships; mastery of court methods; environmental and managerial analysis. Thus, the transfer of professional techniques and values is the basis of the principles of judicial education. First of all, it is expedient to develop a coherent program in the framework of which it is necessary to form the institutional capacity of the NSJU as the only and the leading scientific and methodological center capable to fully satisfy the needs of judges, among the immediate measures that are a challenge for the present day for the NSJU in the aspect of psychological-pedagogical training of professional judges. In psychological-pedagogical training and improvement of qualification on the basis of the use of modern psychological-pedagogical technologies and techniques. For this purpose, the primary tasks are to improve the system of training candidates for a position of judge, which would provide the judicial system of Ukraine with highly professional specialists with an objectively assessed level of personal and moral qualities that can honestly, impartially and objectively carry out judicial proceedings in the future; extension of the list of psychological and pedagogical disciplines of the NSJU; building an effective model of cooperation between the NSJU and the entire judicial corps, attracting the best and most experienced judges to teaching, having pedagogical skills. Based on the fact that training at the NSJU is carried out by judges and experts in each discipline, it is advisable for the teachers to choose among the best in their profession the body, responsible for training, taking into account the judge’s knowledge of the subjects he teaches, teaching skills and pedagogical skills.Based on the analysis of professional literature, it has been proved that today there is no real global instrument, or any generally accepted international charter, to standardize the content of training and selection of professional judges in the judiciary system, which would unite all the participants. Paradoxically, this situation is not actually the result of a lack of consensus. This is due to differences in the historical aspect, the structure of the judicial systems of states. For example, the French National School of Courts, on the occasion of its last major reform, has developed a definition of a list of the personal and professional qualities of judges. These thirteen qualities can be grouped into three blocks: an understanding of human relationships; mastery of the court methods; environmental and managerial analysis. Thus, the transfer of professional techniques and values is the basis of the principles of judicial education.Instead of this, the European vector of state-building chosen by Ukraine prompts the urgent need for adaptation of Ukrainian legislation in the justice sector to the acquis communautaire of the EU, in particular in regards to the introduction of standards for judicial education as an important component in improving the quality and efficiency of national judiciary system, and increasing public confidence in judiciary system.
