Artykuł analizuje siedem przypadków zabójstw księży popełnionych na przedmieściach Roses między sierpniem a wrześniem 1936 r. Pierwszym celem badania jest ustalenie daty i miejsca morderstw na podstawie krytycznego przeglądu różnych zapisów archiwalnych. Drugim celem jest przeanalizowanie faktów i znalezienie wspólnego mianownika dla popełnionych zbrodni. Po trzecie, artykuł zamierza nakreślić panoramę prześladowań religijnych stosowanych przez władze republikańskie w celu metodycznej i systematycznej eksterminacji Kościoła katolickiego. W konkluzji przedstawiono kilka wskazówek dla dalszych badań na ten temat.

This paper is a study of seven assassinations of priests committed at the outskirts of Roses between August and September 1936. The first aim of the study is identifying the date and the exact place of the murders on the basis of a critical review of different archival records. The second is analysing the facts and finding common denominators of the crimes. And the third one is revealing the panorama of religious persecution inflicted by the republican authorities aimed at exterminating the Catholic Church in a methodical and systematic way. The conclusions present a few guidelines on further research on the topic.

Este trabajo se centra en los asesinatos de siete sacerdotes cometidos en las cercanías de Roses entre los meses de agosto y septiembre de 1936. El primer objetivo de este estudio es señalar con la mayor exactitud posible las fechas y los lugares exactos en que se realizaron los crímenes en base a un estudio crítico de las fuentes de archivo. El segundo fin perseguido es analizar los hechos y encontrar denominadores comunes entre dichos asesinatos. Finalmente, se pretende contextualizar la persecución religiosa dentro del metódico y sistemático exterminio dirigido por las autoridades republicanas contra la Iglesia Católica.
