The analysis of the basic concepts of “scouting”, “scout method”, “Scout public association” gave grounds for determining the development of personal potential of adolescents in Scout public associations as a process of systematic self-improvement and self-development of adolescents, through interaction and harmonious disclosure of components of the personal potential in the Scout educational environment. Through the in-depth interview of the leaders of Scout public associations, the social-pedagogical dimensions of the activity of Scout public associations have been characterized: the purpose and directions of the activity of Scout associations have been determined; the content, forms of activity of public associations for the development of personal potential have been analyzed, common and different in the formation of age groups and sections in Scout public associations have been outlined; certain areas in which personal potential develops in Scout public associations have been highlighted; it has been determined what difficulties arise in the process of realization of activities on the development of the personal potential of adolescents, which needs to be rethought, improved in the context of organization of work on the development of the personal potential of adolescents, how monitoring and evaluation of the personal potential of adolescents are conducted. The social and pedagogical conditions of the development of the personal potential of adolescents that promote development of the personal potential of adolescents in Scout public associations are substantiated, namely: taking into account the standards of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in the process of developing a comprehensive program for the development of the personal potential of adolescents in Scout public associations; coordination of adult leaders in development of the personal potential of adolescents in Scout public associations; monitoring and evaluation of the development of the personal potential of adolescents in Scout public associations. The identified socio-pedagogical conditions will promote development of the personal potential of adolescents in Scout public associations. Prospects for further research we see in the development of content and technological provision of socio-pedagogical conditions for the development of personal potential of adolescents in Scout public associations.

The article discusses the phenomenon of personal psychological well-being as an integral formation that is expressed in a degree of person’s orientation to implementation of the main components of his/her positive functioning, as well as in a degree of actualization of such an orientation that is perceived subjectively as satisfaction with him/herself and his/her life, which, in turn, is a personal internal resource and the most important factor of his/her social security. Instability and complexity of socio-economic conditions of personal development poses a threat for his/her social security as a prerequisite for full development of his/her vital forces, labour and intellectual abilities, professional and personal self-realization.

В статье рассматривается феномен личностного психологического благополучия в качестве неотъемлемого формирования, что выражается в степени ориентации человека в реализации основных компонентов его положительного функционирования, а также в степени актуализации такой ориентации, что воспринимается объективностью как удовлетворенность жизнью, которая, в свою очередь, представляет собой личностный внутренний ресурс и самый важный фактор социальной безопасности личности. Нестабильность и сложность социально-экономических условий развития личности создает угрозу для социальной безопасности в качестве предварительного условия для полноценного развития жизненных сил, трудовых и интеллектуальных способностей, профессиональной и личностной самореализации.

The article discusses the nature and interaction of concepts “professional self-identification” and “self-realization”. The approaches to the definition, stages, structure, performance criteria of these concepts are analyzed. Professional self-determination is defined as the process of formation of the personality’s relationships with professional environment and the way of its realization, an integral part of a holistic life of self-determination. Self-realization is seen as a conscious process of thorough investigating and growth of potential and incentive-motivational essential powers of a person, as the process of affirmation of the self, which provides self-knowledge and self-education. It is proved that professional identity is a managed process and, thus, offered educational support to students with the aim to realize their potentials, to reveal the abilities and inclinations, thus increasing the efficiency of the process of self-realization.The leading trends are defined: humanization of society and education; the possibility of systematic and continuous education throughout life; the dominant position of creativity in the education system, that is, change of strategies to personal that make the development of fundamental knowledge with the help of a teacher, their parallel use in practice and creating conditions for the use of knowledge in unforeseen circumstances, on the basis of the developed creative skills; application of modern system of professional orientation, which should help everyone to fully develop his/her own potential (gift, talent, originality of thoughts and actions, professionalism), which is determined by the nature of social relations, formation of a perceived need for an adequate professional self-determination is carried out in practical creative activities through the integration of social, cognitive, and socio-labor activity of the individual. It is determined by the value of the level of development of creative abilities in the process of professional self-determination. It is assumed that the mechanism of self-realization in its fundamental aspects corresponds to creativity, creativity is considered as a constant attribute of the activity of the individual, the attribute of any profession. Thus the desire for professional self-determination is inherent to every individual and is essentially a reflection of a more basic need – fulfillment.

New theoretical basis for the understanding of career counseling, rapid changes in the structure of employment, economic reality, legislation, the level of unemployment among young people and adults, the care about the quality of the professional environment and employees’ efficiency, the problems with the period of transition from training to work, occupational and demographic changes in the employee structures imply changes in the content, the time frame, the techniques used and the recipients of services related to career development. The article concerns the construction of educational and professional career by young people based on research conducted in Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship in 2014. A lot of attention was paid to the areas relating to: diagnosing personal potential, planning educational and career paths based on the local labor market, preparing young people to participate in the labor market, which is viewed as youth’s attempts at building professional “self-image”.

Nowe podstawy teoretyczne dotyczące rozumienia poradnictwa kariery, szybkie zmiany w strukturze zatrudnienia, rzeczywistości ekonomicznej, przepisach prawnych, poziomie bezrobocia wśród młodzieży i dorosłych, troska o jakość środowiska zawodowego i efektywność pracowników, problemy dotyczące przejścia od okresu nauki do okresu pracy zawodowej oraz zmiany demograficzne w strukturach pracowniczych implikują zmianę treści, ram czasowych, stosowanych technik i odbiorców usług związanych z rozwojem kariery. Artykuł dotyczy konstruowania kariery edukacyjno-zawodowej przez młodzież w oparciu o przeprowadzone badania w województwie kujawsko-pomorskim w 2014 roku. Zwrócono w nich uwagę na obszary dotyczące: diagnozowania potencjału osobowego, procesu planowania ścieżki edukacyjno-zawodowej w oparciu o lokalny rynek pracy, przygotowania młodzieży do uczestnictwa w rynku pracy, czyli budowania przez młodzież zawodowego „obrazu siebie”.
