Autor omawia kondycję współczesnej sfery publicznej zanurzonej w rzeczywistości medialnej. Zachodzące w niej zmiany sprawiają, że dyskutuje się o motywach i intencjach, a nie o konkretnych decyzjach, działaniach i ich efektach. Głównymi podmiotami mediatyzowanej agory stają się polityczne „gwiazdy” różnego kalibru, które swą „charyzmę” budują na bazie publicznie okazywanych uczuć – czyli tego, co winno pozostać w zaciszu oikos, a dzięki eksponowaniu prywatności zdobywają władzę.

The article discusses the condition of the contemporary public sphere immersed in the media reality. The changes taking place in it make discussions about motives and intentions rather than about specific decisions, actions and their effects. The main actors of the mediated agora are political "stars", which build their "charisma" on the publicly expressed feelings – thinks which should stay in the quiet oikos, and through the display of privacy they are getting a power / authority.
