Na podstawie głównie badań jakościowych (wywiady, listy) w artykule przedstawiono refleksje, wspomnienia kobiet migrantek. Sięgając do teorii dramaturgicznych próbowano określić doświadczenia emocjonalne kobiet, zwracając uwagę na ich sytuację przedmigracyjną, emocje towarzyszące wyjazdowi za granicę oraz istniejące zależności w obszarze pracy za granicą. Badane kobiety z perspektywy czasu oceniały koszta i korzyści wynikające z pracy za granicą.

The article, based mainly on qualitative research (interviews, letters), presents reflections and memories of migrating women. Using drama theories it is attempted to define emotional experiences of women drawing attention to their pre-migration situation, migration-related emotions and relations existing in the area of migrant work. The women examined assessed from the time perspective both the costs and benefits of working abroad.
