In this article, the author discusses the acts of entrustment that John Paul II addressed to the Lady of Jasna Góra, Queen of Poland, “Mother of my nation” and “my homeland” during his pilgrimages to Poland. The Pope thanks in them for the blessed presence of Lady of Jasna Góra in Poland; expresses his closeness to suffering compatriots, especially those who suffered repressions by the communist regime. He commends to the caring hands of the Queen of Poland the future of children, youth, families, matters and social attitudes that has a key meaning for the future. In the content of the prayers, one can see the Pope’s great effort to build and strengthen Marian devotion and spirituality in the Polish nation as the foundations of its prosperous future. In a word, all these prayers and entrustments contain an enormous theological and patriotic treasury, so that it is worthwhile to conduct theological reflection on them.

W niniejszym artykule omówiono akty zawierzenia, które Jan Paweł II kierował do Pani Jasnogórskiej, Królowej Polski, „Matki mojego narodu” i „mojej Ojczyzny” w czasie pielgrzymek do Polski. Papież dziękuje w nich za błogosławioną obecność Pani Jasnogórskiej na polskiej ziemi; wyraża swą bliskość z cierpiącymi rodakami, zwłaszcza z  tymi, których dotknęły represje reżimu komunistycznego. W  aktach tych zawarty jest ogromny skarb teologiczny i patriotyczny, dlatego warto prowadzić nad nimi refleksję teologiczną.

The presence of Virgin Mary was crucial in the life and monastic vocation of St. Sister Faustina Kowalska. The Marian thread has a special place in her Diary. Since her early childhood the confidante of Mary fulfilling her vocation chose Mother of God to be her Teacher and the Mistress of her spiritual life. She was in the convent the patroness of which was Our Lady of Mercy. Sister Faustina lived the charism of this congregation. She had visions during which she saw Mary, talked to Her and heard Her words. She communed with her beloved Mother in a special way. The apostle of Divine Mercy visited the shrines of Częstochowa and Ostra Brama for few times. She also entrusted Poland – her beloved Motherland - to Mary.

Artykuł przedstawia funkcjonalną typologię wypowiedzi związanych ze sferą religii. Autorka koncentruje się na tekstach specyficznie religijnych, tworzonych w ramach kultu. Mniej uwagi poświęca zatem wypowiedziom kaznodziejsko-katechetycznym, mimo swej odrębności, podobnym do tekstów publicystycznych czy dydaktycznych, dokładniej zaś omawia funkcje pełnione przez: Pismo Św. i teksty teologiczne, teksty liturgiczne i akty sakramentalne, akty chwalebne i wyznawcze oraz modlitwy. W zakończeniu scharakteryzowane zostały różnice między aktami religijnymi a aktami magicznymi. Za najistotniejsze uznano: obszar działania, stosunek do sacrum oraz wykorzystywanie przez magię (w przeciwieństwie do religii) sił zła.

The article presents a functional typology of religious texts. Attention is paid to texts of the cult, rather than sermon-like, catechetic texts, the latter being, besides their uniqueness, similar to journalistic or didactic texts. Especially, the onus is put on the functions of the Bible and theological texts, liturgical and sacramental texts, prayers of praise and confession of faith, and other prayers. Finally, a discussion is offered of the differences between religious and magical acts, the most important of which include the very sphere of the activity, the attitude to the sphere of the sacred, and the use in magic (but not in religion) of evil forces.
