Wartościowanie płciowości i seksualności w religiach monoteistycznych. Założenia doktrynalne a rzeczywistość empiryczna

W artykule przedstawiono wymogi doktrynalne religii monoteistycznych (chrześcijaństwo, judaizm, islam) związane z seksualnością kobiet i mężczyzn. Omówiono też wyniki różnych badań opisujących faktyczną realizację przez wyznawców założeń doktrynalnych poszczególnych religii. Seksualność jest wysoko ceniona przez wszystkie religie monoteistyczne. We wszystkich religiach zakazane jest podejmowanie przed i pozamałżeńskich kontaktów seksualnych. Mimo wyraźnie określonych wymogów przedmałżeńskiej wstrzemięźliwości w każdej z religii ich wyznawcy łamią opisane w doktrynach wymogi. Im większe jest zaangażowanie w doświadczenia religijne wyznawców, tym mniejsza jest ich akceptacja dotycząca tego typu zachowań i rzadziej podejmowana przedmałżeńska aktywność seksualna w porównaniu do osób o niższym poziomie religijności lub niewierzących. Kobiety i mężczyźni w dokumentach religii zajmują zwykle miejsce równorzędne, jednak w rzeczywistości wyższą pozycję zajmuje kobieta w katolicyzmie i w protestantyzmie, a niższą w prawosławiu, judaizmie i islamie.

The article presents the doctrinal requirements of monotheistic religions (Christian-ity, Judaism, Islam) related to the sexuality of men and women. The results of various studies that describe the actual implementation by the followers of the various religions doctrinal assumptions were also discussed. Sexuality is highly appreciated by all monotheistic religions. In all religions it is forbidden to take pre and extramarital sex. Despite the clearly defined requirements premarital abstinence in each of the religion their adherents violate the requirements of the doctrines. The greater the involvement of the religious in experiences of followers, the less is their acceptance for this type of behavior and rarely taken premarital sexual activity compared to those with lower levels of religious or non-believers. Women and men in the documents of religion usually occupy an equal position, but in fact a higher position is a woman in Catholicism and Protestantism, and lower in Orthodoxy, Judaism and Islam.
