In the article the stages of social – pedagogical prophylactic work of social teacher with difficult teenagers are defined. Task of preparatory stage: study of theoretical and methodological basis of problem, practical achievements in its decision. This stage outlines that the deviant behavior the difficulty of the basic stage. Essence of notions of “upbringing”, “pedagogical neglect”, ‘measure of upbringing' is defined. Criteria and indexes of upbringing of teenagers are defined. These theoretical standpoints were made on the basis of social-pedagogical technology of prophylaxis of deviant behavior.
