W artykule przedstawiono problematykę oględzin będących czynnością dowodową w procesie karnym i mającą ogromne znaczenie w dziedzinie kryminalistyki. W oparciu o regułę stosowania siedmiu złotych pytań, które zostały wprowadzone przez H. Grossa, oględziny zmierzają do wyjaśnienia okoliczności przestępstwa, ale także, jaki miało ono charakter. Pytania stanowią pomoc w uzyskiwaniu informacji i ich uporządkowaniu. Oględziny zostały scharakteryzowane pod względem ogólnym, z dokonaniem charakterystyki oględzin miejsca, osoby, rzeczy i zwłok w oparciu o przepisy Kodeksu postępowania karnego. W treści artykułu poruszone zostały kwestie dotyczące tego, kto może dokonać oględzin i w jakim zakresie, kiedy można ich dokonać, w jaki sposób powinny zostać przeprowadzone oględziny.

The article addresses the issue of inspection, which constitutes an evidentiary proceeding in criminal proceedings of great significance in the field of crime detection. Based on the rule of seven golden questions developed by H. Gross, the purpose of inspection is not only to explain the circumstances of the crime committed, but also its nature. These questions are helpful in obtaining useful information and putting it in order. Inspection is characterized in a general way, and the characteristics of crime scene investigation, autopsy, as well as visual inspection of things and corpse are provided, based on the provisions of Code of Criminal Procedure and other legal sources. Issues such as people entitled to carry out the aforementioned inspection, its scope, time and mode are also addressed.
