Artykuł traktuje o podkulturze więziennej jako pokątnym i destrukcyjnym zjawisku, które od wielu już lat notowane jest w rodzimych jednostkach penitencjarnych. Na tle tradycyjnie pojmowanego nieformalnego podziału więźniów („grypsujący”, „niegrypsujący”, „poszkodowany”) zaprezentowano obraz skazanych „cwaniaków”, którzy z racji swojej niewielkiej liczebności egzystują na krawędzi podkulturowego świata, czyniąc próby wkomponowania się w teraźniejsze i znacznie zmodyfikowane w ostatnich latach struktury podkulturowe, oparte przede wszystkim na finansowych zależnościach.

The article deals with the prison subculture as a side and destructive phenomenon, which has been observed in our domestic penal institutions for years. Giving the background of a traditional categorization of prisoners (“belonging to a prison subculture”, “not belonging to a prison subculture”, “victims”), the article presents the picture of prisoners called “dodgers” who – as there are not many of them – exist on the edge of a subculture world, making attempts to become a part of the present, much more modified in recent years structures of subculture, which are based mainly on financial relationships.
