Readingand writing are the general modes of studying in the case of German studies and all the humanities. Creative writing is considered to be any form of writing e.g. fiction, poetry, or non-fiction that goes outside the bounds of normal professional, journalistic, academic, and technical forms of literature. Creative writing is usually taught in a workshop format rather than seminar style. In workshops students usually submit original work for peer critique. Students also format a writing method through the process of writing and re-writing. The number of written assignments does not have any impact on the quality and the improvement of the writing skills. The reason seems to be the fact shaping the very process of writing. The objective of the above article is an analysis of creative writing at a Polish high school. I will try to show the aims and tasks of the creative process, first of all in German lessons.
