Młodzież NEET jako grupa społeczna zagrożona wykluczeniem społecznym i zawodowym

In this article the casus of NEET youth in current Polish society is presented. This term is used to describe youth at the age of 15 to 29, who are not active in labour market. NEETs are not in employment, education or training. The main aim of this work was to present the phenomenon of NEET in reference to social exclusion. An analysis of NEET in Europe in the last decade (2007-2017) has been made. This article also presents the causes and effects of this style life by the members of the mentioned group. The main bibliography was reports from Eurostat, which informed about situation of youth in labour market and periodical of social exclusion.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono casus młodzieży NEET we współczesnym społeczeństwie polskim. Terminem tym określani są młodzi dorośli w wieku 15-29 lat, którzy z różnych przyczyn wykazują bierność zawodową, tzn. nie pracują nie uczą się i nie uczestniczą w kursach podnoszących ich kwalifikacje zawodowe. Głównym celem podjętych rozważań było przedstawienie badanego zjawiska w odniesieniu do problemu wykluczenia społecznego. W pracy przeprowadzono analizę zjawiska NEET w Europie w skali porównawczej w okresie dekady 2007-2017. Przedmiotem refleksji były także uwarunkowania oraz skutki podejmowania takiego przez młodzież stylu życia przez młodzież. Podstawowe źródło badawcze stanowiły raporty Eurostatu na temat sytuacji NEET na rynku pracy oraz pozycje bibliograficzne z zakresu wykluczenia społecznego.
