The article substantiates the distinction of professional journalistic language as a variant of langue representing journalistic style, and implemented in three groups of speech genres – informing, estimating and stimulating. Alongside stylistic features common with journalistic macrostyle, this professional language has its own specific characteristics, expressed through faithfulness to the facts, social estimation and administrative stimulation. Stylistic analysis of even only one genre – stimulating – reveals that the professional and linguistic activities of journalists can be analysed as typical execution algorithms, using the aforementioned method. The article demonstrates that the proposed analysis of speech representations in professional language can be productive for the study of language in action in the journalistic sphere of communication.

Analiza leksykalnosemantyczna słownictwa, Wydawnictwo LIBRON – Filip Lohner, Kraków 2014, 286 pp.The article is a review of Anna Niepytalska-Osiecka’s book Socjolekt polskich alpinistów. Analiza leksykalno-semantyczna słownictwa (The sociolect of Polish mountaineers. A lexical and semantic analysis of the vocabulary). First, the text summarizes the subject matter of this monograph, devoted to a hitherto undescribed variety of the Polish language. It then goes on to characterize the composition of the book and its methodology. Finally, some problematic points are indicated – concerning, among other things, the classification of the language variety analyzed or the development of its vocabulary – and alternative lexical and semantic solutions are suggested. Rec.: Anna Niepytalska-Osiecka, Socjolekt polskich alpinistów. Wskazano również punkty dyskusyjne dotyczące m.in. klasyfikacji opisywanego wariantu polszczyzny czy procesu kształtowania się jego zasobu słownego, a także zasugerowano alternatywne rozstrzygnięcia leksykalno-semantyczne.

Tematyka artykułu koncentruje się wokół języka zawodowego polskich dziennikarzy prasowych, stanowiącego jak dotąd właściwie niezbadany składnik polszczyzny. W tekście zostały zasygnalizowane wybrane problemy badawcze, które powinny stać się przedmiotem zainteresowania lingwistów. Szkic rozpoczyna wykazanie faktu istnienia wspomnianego profesjolektu oraz przywołanie kilku prac, w których zostały wstępnie opisane pewne cechy bądź elementy tego wariantu języka. Następnie autorka omawia zadania badawcze (w tym konieczność zgromadzenia danych empirycznych, wydzielenia faz procesu kształtowania się kodu, charakterystyki wewnętrznej dyferencjacji na subwarianty, ustalenia związków z językiem zawodowym drukarzy, analizy formalno-semantycznej poszczególnych jednostek leksykalnych), których realizacja pozwoli na deskrypcję profejolektu stanowiącego narzędzie komunikacji w polskim środowisku dziennikarskim.

The article focuses on the professional language of Polish press journalists, an aspect of the Polish language practically unexplored by scholars to date. The text signals selected research areas that should be of interest to linguists. The article begins with an attempt to prove the existence of such a professiolect and with a reference to several studies that preliminarily describe some of its features or elements. Subsequently the author discusses research tasks that need to be accomplished in order to describe the professiolect constituting a communication tool of Polish journalists (these tasks include the necessity of gathering empirical data, determining stages in the process of the creation of the linguistic code, characterizing internal differentiation into subvariants, establishing connections with the language of typographers, and formal-semantic analysis of individual lexical units).

Dzięki czemu odbiorca może dowiedzieć się na temat najważniejszych punktów zwrotnych w obszarze edukacji zdalnej. Przedstawiono również główne obszary dotyczące głównych założeń metodycznych oraz praktycznego zastosowania blended learningu. Autor jako przykład rozwiązania technicznego przeprowadza analizę rozwiązania CLIL-VET jako narzędzia wspierającego edukację angielskiego języka zawodowego.

The aim of the paper is to analyze the scope of the following terms: język specjalistyczny, język specjalny, język fachowy, język profesjonalny, język zawodowy, profesjolekt, technolekt (language for special purposes, specialist language, special language, expert language, professional language, occupational language, professiolect, technolect), which are used interchangeably in the Polish linguistic literature even though their denotations are not the same. The semantic (in)compatibility of the above terms was investigated in the following stages: (1) explaining the meaning of the expressions without their theoretical context, i.e. the analysis of the meanings of specific components of the terms as established in general Polish; (2–3) interpretation of explanations and specifications functioning in dictionaries containing linguistic terminology and in theoretical studies; (4) formulating a proposal of distinguishing the concepts by defining the scopes of the terms and the relationships between them.

Germańskie zapożyczenia morfemowe w bośniackiej leksyce sportowej

The paper examines adaptations of German morpheme borrowings in the Bosnian language in relation to sports vocabulary. The analysis presents the specifics of such an adaptation in the Bosnian language and indicates the characteristic affixes which enable the morpheme transfer. At the same time, the analysis confirms the implementation of the postulates of Bosnian standardologists regarding the openness of Bosnian to language borrowings and, perhaps above all, the openness to the coexistence of lexical doublets. In the material studied here, this variance refers to the use of different word-formative morphemes (suffixes) with the same root morpheme, consequently resulting in a possibility of a given signifier having two forms.

W artykule poddano badaniu adaptacje germańskich zapożyczeń morfemowych w języku bośniackim, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem słownictwa sportowego. Przeprowadzona analiza ukazała specyfikę jego asymilacji w języku bośniackim oraz ukazała zasób formantów wykorzystywanych w procesie tejże adaptacji. Badanie potwierdziło również ustalenia bośniackich standardologów dotyczące otwartości języka bośniackiego na zapożyczenia językowe oraz, a może przede wszystkim, ujawniło współwystępowanie dubletów leksykalnych. W badanym materiale wariantywność ta polega na użyciu różnych morfemów słowotwórczych (sufiksów), które są dodawane do tego samego morfemu rdzennego, w wyniku czego dany desygnat może posiadać dwie postaci.
