Celem opracowania jest ukazanie dotacji jako źródła finansowania systemu ochrony zabytków w Polsce. Przyjęto tezę, iż jednym z wielu czynników przesądzających o niwelowaniu negatywnych zjawisk w obecnym stanie systemu zabytków jest zdolność państwa do finansowania zasobu zabytków. Należy stwierdzić, że ostatnim okresie czasu nastąpił wzrost wykonanych wydatków w budżecie państwa w cz. 24 KiODN. Weryfikacja danych liczbowych pochodzących z opracowań Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego prowadzi do wniosku, iż w wydatkach na ochronę zabytków przeważają wydatki bieżące zaś udział wydatków majątkowych jest niestety niepokaźny.

The aim of the study is to present grants as a source of funding for the monument protection system in Poland. It has been argued that one of the many factors determining the suppression of negative phenomena in the present state of monuments system is the ability of the state to finance the monument. It should be noted that in the last period of time there was an increase in expenditures made in the state budget in part. 24 KiDNA. The verification of the figures from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage results in the fact that expenditures on preservation of monuments are predominant in current expenditures and the share of wealth is unfortunately unprofitable.
