This article offers a practical example of solution-focused therapy with a client diagnosed as seriously mental ill. The case description is supplemented by author/therapist’s reflections and by some brief ideas about for example diagnostic labelling, externalisation, resources finding or the expert role of therapist.

Příspěvek nabízí praktickou ukázku vyuţití terapie zaměřené na řešení (solution-focused therapy) při práci s klientem, kterému byla diagnostikována závaţná duševní onemocnění. Popis případu je doplněn reflexemi autora/terapeuta a několika stručnými teoretickými úvahami nad tématy jako diagnostické nálepkování, vyuţití externalizace, hledání zdrojů či role terapeuta coby experta.
