The article presents an analysis of the socio-cultural changes in Poland after 1989 in the context of changes of the identity of young people and new educational forms resulting from it. For several years there are observable changes taking place in educational systems in Poland, which causes a discussion and polemic on the issue of introducing changes. There are voices of satisfaction, but there are also a lot of critical ones, which encourage to seek further for educational solutions. There are also many negative phenomena which can be observed at schools, such as the increasing level of aggression of students, hyperactivity problems, and also addiction problems of many kinds. When analyzing the socio-cultural changes connected with the educational changes, one can clearly see in students a lower level of independent and creative thinking and an attitude towards the ad hoc, often mercantile goals. The teachers, on the other hand, often find themselves in new situations which confront them with new challenges, which requires them to use a special approach to a student and an appropriate range of interpersonal and communicative skills. That is why teachers are offered to study psychological education which can be conducted in a form of specialized training, workshop or even interpersonal training.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie metody „Patrz mądrzej”, w której wykorzystano film jako przekaz wielokodowy, intermedialny i narracyjny; dzięki tym atrybutom może być wykorzystywany do działań edukacyjnych i terapeutycznych. Istotą pracy z filmem według tej metody jest uczenie na filmie, uczenie przez film oraz uczenie poza filmem. O pomyślnym wykorzystaniu filmu w tym procesie decydują przede wszystkim: prawidłowy dobór filmu do założonych celów oraz atrybutów grupy/osoby oraz właściwe kompetencje psychologiczne edukatora, który posiada również umiejętność oszacowania skuteczności osiągniętych rezultatów. Ostatnia część artykułu została poświęcona syntetycznej prezentacji studium przypadku, w którym opisano możliwość zastosowania tej metody w pracy ze studentami kulturoznawstwa i wiedzy o mediach w ramach przedmiotu: psychologia społeczna.

The aim of the article is to present the “Look Smarter” method, which uses the film as a multicode, inter-media and narrative transfer; these attributes allow it to be used in education and therapeutic activities. The gist of working with a film according to this method is to learn on the film, learn through the film and learn beyond the film. The successful use of the film in this process is determined by most of all: correct choice of film for the undertaken aims and attributes of the group/person, and appropriate psychological competences of the educator, who also possesses the ability to weigh the efficiency if the achieved results. The last part of the article is devoted to the synthetic presentation of a case study, which describes a possibility to use this method in working with students of culture studies and media studies within the subject: social psychology.
