W artykule przedstawiono działania ratunkowe dla gospodarki ze strony banków centralnych w dobie epidemii koronawirusa. Okazało się, iż zdecydowana większość banków centralnych na świecie łagodzi obecnie politykę pieniężną. Łagodzenie polityki pieniężnej odbywa się poprzez wykorzystanie zarówno instrumentów standardowych (obniżki stóp procentowych), jak i instrumentów niestandardowych (skup aktywów). NBP również łagodzi politykę pieniężną obniżając stopy procentowe do najniższego poziomu w historii oraz skupując papiery wartościowe gwarantowane przez Skarb Państwa.

The article presents rescue actions from central banks for the economy in the era of coronavirus epidemic. The majority of central banks in the world are currently easing their monetary policy. Expansive monetary policy is implemented through the use of both standard instruments (interest rate cuts) and non-standard instruments (purchase of assets). The NBP also eases its monetary policy by lowering interest rates to the lowest level in history and buying government-guaranteed securities.
