Artykuł dotyczy różnic w postrzeganiu atrakcyjności twarzy autentycznych, zależnych od perspektywy oceniania oraz płci zarówno osoby przedstawionej na zdjęciu, jak i płci oceniającego. W prezentowanym badaniu osoby badane (N = 233) dokonywały oceny atrakcyjności poszczególnych części autentycznych twarzy z trzech perspektyw: oceny siebie samych (perspektywa aktora), oceny ze strony innych osób (perspektywa obserwatora) oraz oczekiwanej oceny przez innych (perspektywa Ja odzwierciedlonego). Wyniki ujawniły, że osoby badane oceniają własne twarze korzystniej niż obserwatorzy, a rzeczywista ocena własnej twarzy jest bardziej korzystna od oczekiwanej (Ja odzwierciedlone). Najbardziej krytyczni w ocenach byli mężczyźni, szczególnie wówczas, gdy oceniali innych.

The article concerns the differences in the perception of facial attractiveness natural and modification depending on the perspective of judgements and gender. In the experiment (N = 233), a natural facial photo was rated three times. The first was self-rating by the participant. The second was by an observer. The third was the looking glass self. The results showed that participants rated themselves better than observers. But the perspective of the looking glass self was better than the observer’s perspective, but worse than the perspective of self.
