This article presents selected aspects of designing access networks to the Internet (with or without wires), which should be taken into account in the case of building telematics networks (networks and Internet technologies) for the purpose of crisis events. The article presents the review of FTTD (ang. Fiber To The Desk) technology, as well as the issues related to the building of backup links with the use of radio networks (especially satellite networks).
