Autorka przedstawia dzieci ubiegające się o status uchodźcy w Polsce w okresie styczeń 2008–sierpień 2014. Omawia także zagadnienia dotyczące objawów oraz metod i form pracy z dzieckiem z ADHD. Dokonuje opisu niepełnosprawności intelektualnej u dzieci oraz przedstawia sytuację rodziny uchodźczej z Czeczenii, w której jedno dziecko ma zespół nadpobudliwości psychoruchowej z deficytem uwagi, a drugie jest niepełnosprawne intelektualne w stopniu umiarkowanym. Prezentuje także doświadczenia studentów- -wolontariuszy w pomocy tym dzieciom.

In this article I characterise children seeking refugee status in Poland in the period: January 2008 – August 2014. I present issues regarding the symptoms, methods and forms of work with children within this group with ADHD. I also describe the intellectual disability in these children, using case studies of refugee families from Chechnya, where one child has an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and the second has an intellectual disability.
