Od pierwszej do trzeciej deportacji sowieckiej w rejonie ciechanowieckim

The article presents the situation of the Polish and Jewish community in the Ciechanowiec region under the Soviet occupation in the first half of 1940. The framework of the period is determined by the first and the third deportation to Siberia. Beside the repressive deportations, also elections to the Supreme Councils of Belarus and the Soviet Union were held, as well as forced evictions from the border belt. The population, in particular Jewish, tried to leave the area under scrutiny in order to avoid the oppressiveness of the occupational authorities.

Artykuł prezentuje sytuację społeczności polskiej i żydowskiej na obszarze rejonu ciechanowieckiego pod okupacją sowiecką w pierwszym półroczu 1940 r. Ramy tego okresu wyznaczają pierwsza i trzecia deportacja na Syberię. Oprócz represyjnych wywózek, w tym czasie odbyły się też wybory do Rad Najwyższych Białorusi i Związku Sowieckiego oraz przymusowe wysiedlenia z pasa granicznego. Ludność, zwłaszcza żydowska, próbowała opuszczać badany rejon w celu uniknięcia opresyjności władz okupacyjnych.
