Online live commentary, in many ways, is similar to live TV coverage and radio broadcasts. But, as Jan Chovanec noticed, it also differentiates itself from traditional transmissions. One of the differences is the sender-reader relation. The aim of the article is to characterise this relation. As the analysis reveals, the distance between the aforementioned participants of communication is relatively smaller than in traditional media (TV and radio). This is most noticeable in the use of the first person pluralis, in the form of the inclusive WE and of direct address to the reader. The initial and final components of the text show signs of the desire to establish a kind of bond with recipients and, in the longer perspective, a lasting relationship. Another distinctive attribute of live online commentary is its interactivity. Readers can comment on the competition, cite other fans from social media, take part in contests and quizzes, rate the commentary and events on the sports field. The commentary thus becomes a polyphonous message, in which the distinctions between media sender nad recipients becomes blurred.

Internetowa relacja sportowa „na żywo” pod wieloma względami przypomina transmisje telewizyjne i radiowe. Nieco inaczej jednak rysuje się w jej przypadku sytuacja nadawczo-odbiorcza. Jak zauważył Jan Chovanec, warstwa ideacyjna relacji sportowej stopniowo usuwana jest na dalszy plan, dominantą funkcjonalną staje się zaś interakcja między nadawcą a odbiorcami. Celem niniejszego badania było scharakteryzowanie sytuacji nadawczo-odbiorczej w internetowych relacjach sportowych „na żywo”. Jak wykazała analiza materiału badawczego, dystans między autorem a czytelnikami jest znacznie mniejszy niż w tradycyjnych mediach. Przejawia się to m.in. w dużej frekwencji form pierwszej osoby liczby mnogiej w funkcji „MY” inkluzywnego oraz bezpośrednich zwrotach do odbiorców. Komponenty inicjalne i finalne zarysowują wyraźnie dążenie do zbudowania więzi – funkcję taką spełniają zwłaszcza liczne podziękowania za wspólnie spędzony czas oraz zachęty do śledzenia kolejnych relacji. Cechą odróżniającą relacje internetowe od transmisji telewizyjnych i radiowych jest większa interaktywność. Przejawia się ona w możliwości komentowania zawodów przez czytelników, cytowaniu wpisów kibiców z mediów społecznościowych, konkursach, quizach, przyciskach pozwalających ocenić dany fragment wydarzenia lub samej relacji. Staje się ona zatem wypowiedzią wielogłosową, w której momentami zaciera się granica między nadawcą medialnym a odbiorcami (sami mogą stać się nadawcami).

This article presents the results of qualitative research of texts including medical advice printed in women's magazines, which have been published for the last few years. The analysis of the collected material allowed the author to describe a genre's model, sender-receiver model and its stylistic register using a qualitative method. Advice in women's magazine use texts and they are interesting examples of advice's discourse. Because they are available for everyone, I believe my choice of material was definitely correct. If they were treated as merchandise, the price, the mode and the mass production, which decide about their popularity and brand on the Polish publishing market, would be important.

Letters of Michał Grabowski, a romantic novelist and critic, are an example of per-sonal correspondence dominated by reflections on literature and its transformations. In his correspondence, the author often addressed the issue of functioning on the literary scene. My primary objective was to understand how the author evaluated and understood his own literary critical skills. Grabowski’s remarks on himself (and also on the role of a “professional reader”) will allow one to recognize and then to better understand the formation process of his literary critical awareness. In the letters to Józef Bohdan Zaleski we can find comments on the practices of crit-ics and the development of their opinions about individual authors and their works. Therefore, this article is merely a selection of examples that will be used for a more pro-found analysis of the mechanisms of creating a critic’s image.

The purpose of the present article is to describe and classify the clearly formulated exponents of sender-receiver in old scholarly linguistics-related texts (published at the turn of the 20th century). The research material includes four linguistic publications (written by Antoni Kalina, Jan Łoś, Aleksander Brückner and Zenon Klemensiewicz). The author described the specifics of communication process in science (taking into account all components of act of communication) and used the method of 1000-words sample (analysis of all predicates occurring in a fragment from the middle part of the text). On the basis the author drew conclusions about them frequency in analyzed publications.

Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę charakterystyki eksplicytnych wykładników relacji nadawczo-odbiorczych w dawnych językoznawczych tekstach naukowych (z przełomu XIX i XX w.) i wskazania ich funkcji w analizowanych tekstach. Materiał badawczy stanowią cztery dawne publikacje naukowe (Antoniego Kaliny, Jana Łosia, Aleksandra Brücknera i Zenona Klemensiewicza). Opisano specyfikę procesu komunikacji naukowej (z uwzględnieniem wszystkich komponentów aktu komunikacji), zastosowano metodę próbki 100-wyrazowej (analizy wszystkich predykatów występujących we fragmencie w środkowej partii tekstu) i na tej podstawie skonstruowano wnioski dotyczące częstotliwości ich występowania w dawnych tekstach.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie komunikacyjnych uwarunkowań i zależności w społeczeństwie informacyjnym, z uwzględnieniem roli biblioteki akademickiej. Punktem wyjścia jest tradycyjne pojmowanie procesu komunikacyjnego jako z jednej strony sposobu przekazywania informacji, z drugiej, nawiązywania relacji nadawczo-odbiorczych. W horyzoncie rozważań znalazła się analiza funkcjonowania biblioteki w społeczeństwie sieci, i wpływ elektronicznych narzędzi przekazywania informacji na jej działalność. Artykuł ma wskazać powiązania pomiędzy tradycyjnymi i wirtualnymi sposobami porozumiewania się oraz podkreślić rolę komunikacji w przyszłym rozwoju biblioteki.

The aim of the article is to present communication conditions and relations in the information society taking into account the role of a university library. The starting point is to understand the communication process on the one hand as the manner to transmit information, and on the other hand as the way to create sending-receiving relations. The author analyzes the functioning of the library in the Internet society and the influence of electronic devices on its activity. The aim of the article is to show the relations between traditional and virtual manners of communication and to underline the role of communication in the future development of the library.

Das Ziel des vorliegenden Beitrags ist die Schilderung der kommunikativen Bedingungen und Abhängigkeiten in der Informationsgesellschaft mit Berücksichtigung der Rolle einer akademischen Bibliothek. Der Ausgangspunkt ist wie immer das Verständnis des Kommunikationsprozesses einerseits im Sinne von Informationsvermittlung, andererseits von Gestaltung der Beziehung zwischen Sender und Empfänger. In den Überlegungen fanden sich die Analyse der Tätigkeitsbereiche einer Bibliothek im Rahmen einer Netzgesellschaft sowie der Einfluss der e-Werkzeuge auf die Bibliotheksaufgaben während der Informationsvermittlung. Der Beitrag soll auf die Verbindung zwischen der tradierten und der virtuellen Kommunikation hinweisen sowie die Rolle der Kommunikation in der künftigen Entwicklung der Bibliotheken betonen.

On Way to Heaven by rev. Ludwik Skowronek is the indication of the author’s concern to preserve the traditional model of a family. Consequently so, Christian families are aimed to be the main recipients of the text. The Skowronek’s text edited as a prayer book in Silesia in early decades of the 20th century is devoted to the subject of a family within the church community. The thorough analysis of the text allows the reader to see the coexistence of the evident persuasion with different ways of soothing the direct didactic. By predetermining the shape of the sender-receiver relation, the impressive function of language reveals asymmetrical character of the roles which the participants of the speech act can take.
