Der religiöse Modernismus in Russland bildet eine intellektuelle Strömung an der Wende des 19. Jahrhunderts. Sein Hauptgedanke war das Streben nach der Erneuerung Russlands in Anlehnung an reformiertes russisch-orthodoxes Glaubensbekenntnis, das dem kapitalistischen sozialwirtschaftlichen System in Russland entsprechen sollte sowie die Verkündung einer neuen christlichen Zivilisation unter Berücksichtigung ökonomischer Verhältnisse. Der religiöse Neomodernismus ist dagegen eine intellektuelle Strömung an der Wende des 20. Jahrhunderts, die im gegenwärtigen Russland ziemlich populär ist. Er ist jedoch nicht gleichbedeutend mit der Rückkehr der russisch-orthodoxen Kirche zum öffentlichen Leben oder mit ihrer nächsten reformierten Variante. Er bezieht sich trotzdem auf einige Ideen des orthodoxen Modernismus.

Religious modernism in Russia is an intellectual movement at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Its essential idea was to strive for Russia’s revival based on reformed Orthodoxy, adequate to the origin of the capitalist social-economic system in Russia, or achieve a new Christian civilization with a respective vision of economic conditions. Religious Neomodernism, in contrast, is an intellectual movement at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, quite popular in contemporary Russia, but not identified with the return of Orthodoxy to public life or with another of its reformed versions. However, it refers to some of the ideas of Orthodox modernism.

Religijny modernizm w Rosji to nurt intelektualny z przełomu XIX i XX wieku. Jego zasadniczą ideą było dążenie do odrodzenia Rosji w oparciu o zreformowane prawosławie odpowiadające kapitalistycznemu systemowi społeczno-gospodarczemu w Rosji lub ogłoszenie nowej chrześcijańskiej cywilizacji z uwzględnieniem warunków ekonomicznych. Z kolei religijny neomodernizm to prąd intelektualny z przełomu XX wieku, całkiem popularny we współczesnej Rosji. Nie jest on jednak równoznaczny z powrotem prawosławia do życia publicznego czy z kolejną jego zreformowaną wersją. Niemniej jednak odnosi się do pewnych idei prawosławnego modernizmu.
