W artykule przedstawiono aktualny stan badań naukowych nad służbami specjalnymi, w tym w Polsce. Postawiona została teza o konieczności powołania specjalistycznego ośrodka naukowo‑badawczego oraz autonomicznych kierunków akademickiego kształcenia w dziedzinie służb specjalnych. Autor w artykule przedstawił autorską definicję służb specjalnych. Następnie zaprezentował swoje poglądy na rolę i znaczenie badań nad służbami specjalnymi. Wskazał na bariery utrudniające wprowadzanie tego kierunku kształcenia. Zasugerował powołanie szkoły wyższej kształcącej kadry na potrzeby służb specjalnych (wywiad, kontrwywiad). Uczelnia byłaby również centrum badawczo‑naukowym, gdzie skupiałyby się badania nad służbami specjalnymi. W wymiarze naukowym pracy i badań nad służbami specjalnymi naukowcy z tej uczelni współpracowaliby z innymi ośrodkami akademickimi.

The article presents the current state of scientific research on special services in Poland. The thesis about the necessity of establishing a specialized research center and autonomous academic education in the field of secret services was made. The author in the article presented the author's definition of special services. Then he presented his views on the role and importance of special services research. He pointed to barriers hindering the introduction of this field of education. He suggested the establishment of a university educating staff for the needs of special services (intelligence, counterintelligence). The university would also be a research and scientific center where research on special services would focus. In the scientific dimension of work and research on special services, scientists from this university would cooperate with other academic centers.
