For many years, we have seen an increasing interest in corporate social responsibility (CSR). Within this concept, Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) is developing. This includes the emergence of stock indices of companies that meet the highest environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements. Special stakeholders, such as investors, are paying more and more attention to the composition of stock exchange indices based on socially responsible companies. The presented paper discusses the topic of responsible investing in Poland, and its main aim is to analyze and evaluate the selection process of companies in the RESPECT Index and to present the evolution that has been made since its inception. However it cannot be clearly stated that the companies included in this index are characterized by a high level of implementation of CSR strategies. Stakeholders, especially investors potentially interested in investing in companies from this index, may feel some information insecurity associated with the description of the qualification of the companies in this index. They may also have some doubts as to the use of a survey to evaluate companies from ESG data.

W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję modelu decyzyjnego, ułatwiającego wybór lokalizacji dla nieruchomości biurowej spełniającej wymogi zrównoważonego budownictwa. W oparciu o literaturę przedmiotu omówiono najważniejsze aspekty koncepcji inwestowania odpowiedzialnego na rynku nieruchomości. W koncepcji tej istotny jest dobór lokalizacji dla budynków komercyjnych, tak aby poprawiała ona parametry budynku zrównoważonego. Propozycja modelu wyboru lokalizacji została stworzona w oparciu o metody wielokryterialne stosowane w środowisku GIS. Kryteria i subkryteria przyjęte do modelu zostały opracowane na podstawie zasad przyjętych w systemie certyfikacji budynków BREEAM. Model taki, przy wykorzystaniu odpowiednich danych i informacji przestrzennych, pozwala na przygotowanie mapy decyzji lokalizacyjnych.

The paper presents the concept of the decision-making model facilitating the selection of location for an office building fulfilling the requirements of sustainable construction. The concept of responsible property investing was discussed on the basis of literature studies. Sustainable office buildings are one of the ways of its practical implementation and the location of a building is among the evaluation criteria in sustainable building multicriteria certification systems, so it can improve the rating of a building. The proposed decision model for the selection of location was elaborated on the basis of multicriteria decision analysis applied in the GIS environment. Analytical criteria applied in the model were compiled on the basis of the BREEAM certification system. When the required data and spatial information are applied to this model, it allows to prepare the map of optimal spatial decisions.
