Treść artykułu podejmuje problematykę zasadności podniesienia wieku emerytalnego w Polsce w kontekście starzenia się społeczeństwa oraz koncepcji bezpieczeństwa socjalnego. System zabezpieczenia społecznego ma bowiem za zadanie gwarantować obywatelom poczucie bezpieczeństwa socjalnego. Wydaje się to szczególnie ważne w sytuacji, w której system emerytalny w dużym stopniu uwrażliwiony jest na zmiany demograficzne, a sytuacja demograficzna w społeczeństwie nie jest korzystna.

The article content takes the issue merits of raising the retirement age in Poland in the context of an aging society and the concept of social security. The social security system has the aim to guarantee citizens a sense of social security. This is particularly important when the pension scheme is highly sensitized to demographic changes and the demographic situation in society is not favorable.
