Japonia słynie z wielkiego przywiązania do tradycji i kultury głęboko zakorzenionej w historii oraz ich olbrzymiego wpływu na tamtejszy świat pracy. Obecnie globalizacja i rosnąca konkurencyjność odcisnęły swe piętno także na japońskich rozwiązaniach dotyczących pracy i zarządzania ludźmi. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ogólna ilustracja zakresu i kierunków zmian w obszarze wynagradzania przedstawionego na tle problemów ZZL. W analizie wykorzystane zostały tzw. dane zastane, a więc dane statystyczne i raporty z badań opublikowanych przez różnych badaczy.

Japan is famous for its great devotion to tradition, culture that is deeply rooted in history, and its significant impact on the world of work. Currently, globalization and increasing competition have had an impact on Japanese labor practices and human resources management. The objective of this paper is to provide an overall illustration of the scope and direction of changes in the field of remuneration, shown against a backdrop of the problems facing HRM. This analysis is based on what may be termed existing data—statistical data and research reports published by researchers.
