Artykuł przedstawia problem rozbieżności między rodzajem naturalnym a gramatycznym nazw głównych bohaterek bajek o Kopciuszku i Czerwonym Kapturku. Przywołuje przykłady różnego zastosowania form gramatycznych składników w wypowiedzeniach, gdzie te postaci występują w roli podmiotu. Pokazuje, że w wydaniach bajek, w których formy dostosowywane są pod względem rodzaju gramatycznego nazw, może dojść do zaburzenia tożsamości podmiotu w obrębie jednego zdania. Zwraca uwagę na najbardziej logiczne rozwiązanie – uznanie, że rodzaj naturalny jest ważniejszy od gramatycznego przy charakteryzowaniu tych bohaterek.

The article presents the problem of the differences between grammatical and natural gender of the names of main female protagonists in the tales of Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood. It shows the examples of usage of different gender categories in the text telling about the protagonists. It is possible to mix the gender identity of the protagonists in the texts. It stresses the most logical solution – using the natural gender which, in this situations, should be more important than the grammatical one.

W artykule przedstawiono problem rodzaju gramatycznego postaci bajkowych i fantastycznych. Omówiono m.in. rozbieżność między rodzajem gramatycznym a rodzajem naturalnym nazw bohaterek najpopularniejszych bajek dla dzieci, czyli Czerwonego Kapturka i Kopciuszka, a także postaci wywodzących się z literatury fantasy i gier komputerowych, tak popularnych wśród młodego pokolenia. Przedstawione przykłady pokazują zaburzenia pomiędzy rodzajem gramatycznym wspomnianych postaci a ich określnikami, do których dochodzi na poziomie składni. Na ich podstawie można wnioskować o swoistej wyższości rodzaju naturalnego nad rodzajem gramatycznym.

The article presents the problem of the grammatical gender in fairy-tale and fantasy characters. It shows the discrepancy between the grammatical gender and the natural gender in the names of the most popular children’s characters such as Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, as well as characters from fantasy books and computer games which have gained popularity amongst youth. The examples presented in the article show the disturbance on a syntactical level, between the grammatical gender of said characters and their attributes. Based on these examples one can notice the superiority of the natural gender over the grammatical gender.
