Aconvention of voivodeship conservators of historical monuments and representatives of the Department for the Protection of Historical Monuments at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage was held in Roskosz near Biała Podlaska on 9-10 June 2008. The conference considered a project of changes in the resolution issued by the Minister of Culture and relating to conservation, restoration, construction and architectural studies as well as other activity involving monuments listed in the register of historical monuments as well as archaeological studies and the search for concealed or abandoned moveable historical monuments. The debate focused on crucial questions comprising the abovementioned resolution: the right to conduct work and examine monuments, and the methods of implementing the realisation of conditions defined in suitable permits. The conference summary proposed a number of detailed solutions concerning the discussed problems.
