Artykuł przedstawia fragment diagnostycznych badań przeprowadzonych w Uniwersytecie Zielonogórskim w ramach międzynarodowego projektu „Fotografia i film jako medium relacji psychopedagogicznych. Temporalna wizualizacja czasu wolnego studentów”. Prezentuje kompleksowe wyniki ustalające: 1) zainteresowania studentów; 3) rozumienie i pożytkowanie czasu wolnego studentów; 3) czynniki różnicujące sposób spędzania wolnego czasu przez studentów. Analizy i interpretacje form spędzania czasu wolnego i zainteresowań studentów pozwalają podjąć próbę wskazania wpływu tej sfery życia na rozwój ogólny i zawodowy jednostek oraz społeczności studenckiej.

The article presents a fragment of diagnostic research conducted in the University of Zielona Gora in the framework of the international project “Photography and film as a medium of psychopedagogical relationships. Temporal visualization of students free time”. It presents comprehensive results which determine: 1) student interests; 2) understanding and benefits of free time for students; 3) the factors differentiating the way of spending free time by students. Analysis and interpretation of students’ leisure activities and interests allow us to try to identify the impact of this sphere of life on the general and professional development of individuals and the student community

Przemiany społeczno-kulturowe ukazują wydłużanie się okresu młodości i odraczania zadań dorosłości, co prowadzi do wyłonienia nowego okresu rozwoju, zwanego wschodzącą dorosłością. Proces stawania się dorosłym nabiera w późnej nowoczesności charakteru subiektywnego. Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka rozwoju studentów na podstawie badań opisujących podejmowane przez nich działania autokreacyjne. Odnoszą się one do zadań rozwojowych okresu dojrzewania i dorosłości. Ich opis bliski jest także charakterystyce wschodzącej dorosłości według J.J. Arnetta. Za najważniejsze kryteria budowania przez badanych studentów własnej dorosłości można uznać: postawę refleksyjną, zdolność krytycznego myślenia oraz samooceny.

It can be observed that as a result of socio-cultural changes youth becomes a longer period and the tasks of adulthood are postponed, which leads to the formation of a new phase of development, called emerging adulthood. In late modernity the process of becoming an adult becomes subjective. The aim of the article is to characterize students' development on the basis of their self-creation actions. These activities refer to developmental tasks typical of adolescence and adulthood. Their description also bears resemblance to J.J. Arnett's notion of emerging adulthood. Self-creation actions undertaken by students also shows that reflective attitude, the ability of critical thinking and self-assessment can be considered as the most important criteria for their building one's adulthood.
