As the political science has been assigned to new field and domain of social science in 2011 instead of being assigned to humanities, it has caused astonishment and some kind of discomfort in many centres of political science. It was similar to introducing of a new field called public policy science. Assessment of the environment was quiet diverse. As far as by the public policy science one can notice lack of interest, by the new assignment of policy science one can distinguish three contentions: inclusion of the political sciences in the domain of social science, renewed assignment of policy sciences to humanities and assignment of the political sciences to both domains (management studies alike). The third solution is the most supported one in the environment of political scientists. On the same time statements of politicians about reportedly demanded education of welders instead of political scientists and diminished interest with political studies have made the environment of policy analysis anxious. It is to be emphasised that we are not newly formed field of science and any discussions about status of our domain are an ancient history. At the present day staff of the centres of political sciences is outweighed by people, who graduated political studies and their scientific development together with their tittles of professor have been connected with investigations on the field of political studies. This way the environment grows stronger. A few dangers to political science can be pointed out. First of all there is an aspiration to autonomy of some subfields. Second, there is lack of scientific discussion in the environment. Third, there is a western technique of mechanical “scaling”, “measuring” and other ways of evaluation of one’s academic background, which does not fit to Polish reality and also pervert valuable academic backgrounds.

The subject of this paper are the main features of scientific development of professor Andrzej Stelmachowski as a rural lawyer. It considers the role that he has played in granting autonomy and developing of rural law science, the characteristics of his scientific work, his attitude as a researcher and the message he has passed through his achievements. According to the Author, the conceptual findings of professor Stelmachowski have been crucial for rural law science development and have constituted the fundamental basis for autonomy of this branch of law within the legal order. They also have been a great source of inspiration. If not this intellectual contribution and inspiration, the rural regulations that have been growing since the late fifties would have remained just a section of legislation, and the rural law science would still be at its formative stage. The analysis are concluded with the messages deriving from professor’s Stelmachowski accomplishments for the future generations of rural lawyers and the general estimation of his life attitude and scientific achievements.

The text includes a report from the twenty-fifth anniversary Summer school of young pedagogues. Meetings include scientific and research workshops. Their form involves creative work of young pedagogues, who are at the beginning of their professional career, and the masters who share their knowledge and experience with young people. The reported meeting was a response to the needs of the young pedagogues who reported dilemmas and anxieties associated with scientific work, research techniques and being present in the academic pedagogues’ environment. The meeting was full of many events that contributed to the expansion of knowledge and enhancing the research techniques of the novice researchers.

Przedmiotem analizy jest dorobek naukowy E. Anny Wesołowskiej (1929-2016). W artykule zastosowano podejście chronologiczno-problemowe. Po zidentyfikowaniu głównych dyscyplin, w których mieści się refleksja naukowa E. A. Wesołowskiej, analizowano rozwój myśli andragogicznej, dydaktycznej i komparatystycznej zachowując układ chronologiczny i pokazując, jak te dyscypliny w jej rozwoju zawodowym i pracy naukowej się łączyły, uzupełniały i poszerzały swoje granice. Dorobku E. A. Wesołowskiej nie da się zamknąć w dyscyplinarnych granicach, ponieważ powstawał on w duchu refleksji ogólnohumanistycznej w trosce o człowieka, społeczeństwo i świat

The subject of the analysis are academic achievements of E. Anna Wesołowska (1929-2016). The article adopts a chronological and problem-oriented approach. After the initial identification of the main academic disciplines, to which we can assign E. Anna Wesołowska's ideas, the development of andragogical, didactic and comparative thought is analysed, maintaining the chronological order and illustrating how the disciplines of her professional development and academic work combined, complemented each other and expanded their boundaries. Academic achievements of E.A. Wesołowska cannot be limited to clear-cut definitions of academic disciplines as they were born in the spirit of general humanistic reflection, of concern of human being, society and the world.
