Społeczny świat uzdrowiska scharakteryzować można jako zorganizowany wokół dwóch składowych działalności podstawowej. Celem pozostaje uzdrowienie, a przynajmniej poprawa zdrowia, a realizowane jest ono łącznie poprzez poddawanie się kuracjuszy leczeniu oraz przez realizowanie przez nich aktywności czasu wolnego. Właśnie czas wolny, wynikający bezpośrednio z wyrwania kuracjusza na czas pobytu z jego codzienności oraz z faktu niezagospodarowania leczeniem całego czasu w ciągu dnia, umożliwia i uzasadnia realizację w różnych formach uzdrawiania poza oficjalnym oddziaływaniami medycznymi. Analizy literaturowe wskazują, że rekreacja, zabawa, życie towarzyskie i rozwój, a więc cztery główne funkcje czasu wolnego, mogą mieć oddziaływanie prozdrowotne, a są w szczególny sposób obecne w uzdrowisku. Wskazanie obecności wymienionych czterech czynników prozdrowotnych w uzdrowisku zilustrowane jest opisem opartym na charakterystyce Uzdrowiska w Ciechocinku.

The social world of spas can be described as a world organized around two core activities components. The goal is a cure, or at least improved health. It is implemented jointly by patients through treatment and through leisure time activities. Leisure time appears as a consequence of the breaking out bather on the period of stay of his everyday life and the fact that the treatment is not full-time during the day. His presence allows and justifies the implementation of the various forms of healing outside the official medical interactions. Analysis of the literature suggests that recreation, fun, social life and development - the four main functions of leisure time, may have the positive impact on health, and are particularly present in the spa. An indication of the presence of the four factors in the spa is illustrated by a description based on the characteristics of health resort Ciechocinek.

The article contains a report of the second research workshop of our Euro-Identities project. The workshop took place immediately after collecting first data (pilot interviews). On the base of the digital recording of all sessions, the protocol carefully attempts to reconstruct the proceedings of the research workshop as a social arrangement for the generation of analytical knowledge. Therefore it can be read as a reconstruction of – in the sense of Alfred Schütz’ perspective of “Making Music Together” – “how to do together” analysis of autobiographical narrative interviews. The report dwells on the questions of how to get a first impression of the interviews, of how the European phenomenon is addressed in them and, of how to do the research steps of formal text sort analysis, structural description, analytical abstraction including the reconstruction of the overall biographical structuring and contrastive comparison. Although at this stage of analysis it is not dealt with the research step of constructing a theoretical model, phenomena of social worlds and social arenas, of European opportunity structures, of networking and establishing of social relationships, of transnational comparison, of transgressing cultural borders, of new professional initiatives and professional hybridization and of a non-essentialist self-identification with Europe are found.

W artykule przedstawiony został drugi warsztat badawczy poświęcony analizie materiałów w projekcie Euroidentities. Spotkanie, które miało miejsce zaraz po ukończeniu zbierania wywiadów pilotażowych zostało nagrane i dzięki temu możliwe było sporządzenie dokładnego protokołu. Zapis warsztatu jest przykładem rekonstrukcji – w rozumieniu Alfreda Schütza – ‘jak robić razem’ analizę wywiadów biograficzno-narracyjnych. W artykule została zwrócona uwaga na następujące kwestie: znaczenia pierwszego wrażenia z lektury wywiadu, odpowiedzi na pytanie badawcze w jaki sposób pojawia się w nim temat Europy, jak realizować procedurę badawczą – strukturalny opis tekstu, analityczną abstrakcję, porównania kontrastowe. Chociaż na tym etapie pracy nie tworzy się modeli teoretycznych zwrócono uwagę na takie zjawiska jak: światy i areny społeczne, europejskie struktury możliwości, tworzenie sieci relacji społecznych, specyficzny typ identyfikacji europejskiej.

Głównym celem tego tekstu jest odpowiedź na pytanie, czy strzelectwo sportowe należy traktować jako sport, oraz przekonanie czytelników, że strzelectwo może być interesującym przedmiotem socjologii sportu. Strzelectwo sportowe to dynamicznie rozwijająca się aktywność, która w ostatnich latach angażuje w Polsce coraz więcej osób. Artykuł przedstawia historię i specyfikę tej dyscypliny sportu, w tym prezentuje dyscypliny sportowe oraz klasyfikację osób uczestniczących w świecie społecznym strzelców. Tekst zawiera również wstępne wnioski dotyczące zjawisk społecznych dotyczących środowiska strzeleckiego oraz rozważania metodologiczne związane z barierami występującymi w badaniach tego środowiska.

The main goals of this text are to answer the question of whether sport shooting should be treated as a sport and to convince readers that shooting can be an interesting subject within the sociology of sport. Sport shooting is an activity that is dynamically developing and has engaged more and more people in recent years in Poland. The article presents the history and specificity of this sport discipline, including the presentation of the competition and the classification of people participating in the social world of shooters. The text also contains preliminary conclusions on social phenomena concerning the shooting environment and methodological considerations related to barriers occurring in the study of this environment.
