Właściwe pojmowanie zagrożeń i ich źródeł w sensie defi nicyjnym jest istotne, aby prawidłowo stosować te pojęcia w sferze bezpieczeństwa w różnych sektorach i systemach. Autor proponuje rozumienie tych pojęć według ściśle określonego paradygmatu, polegającego na wyodrębnieniu nieabstrakcyjnych źródeł zagrożeń, z których liniowo wynikają różne zagrożenia. Należy więc postrzegać zagrożenia jako zdarzenia niekorzystne, które wynikają z konkretnych źródeł. Słuszność postulowanych koncepcji autor testuje na przykładzie bezpieczeństwa operacji lotniczych w lotnictwie ogólnym.

Proper understanding of threats and their sources in the defi nitional sense is important to correctly apply these concepts in the sphere of safety in various sectors and systems. The author proposes to understand these concepts according to a strictly defi ned paradigm, consisting in the separation of not abstract sources of threats, which linearly result in various threats. Therefore, threats should be perceived as unfavorable events that result from specifi c sources. The author tests the correctness of the postulated concepts on the example of the safety of air operations in general aviation.

This article attempts to define the concept, category ii creatures to safety in a general sense. The author discusses the problems connected with the duality of this issue – stability and dynamism. In this article different sorts and sources of threats to security were discussed. The threats which belong to the values have long been held dear and protected by both an individual and nations since the dawn of humankind. Security includes political and military aspects as well as economic, technological, ecological, social and humanitarian factors. There are also natural aspects, apart from the factors presented above, which play their part from the beginning of the human history to be taken into account. Together with the advancement of technology people entered the era of technological threat. The threat that on the one hand is indispensable in everyday life but on the other threatens increasingly a man. The presented above sorts of threats have been characterized and described in a synthetic way It should be underlined that the threats presented do not exhaust all of them as newer and newer threats appear together with the technological development.

W artykule podjęto próbę zdefiniowania pojęcia i istoty bezpieczeństwa w sensie generalnym. Autor porusza problematykę związaną z dualizmem tego zagadnienia – statyczność i dynamiczność tego zjawiska. W omawianym artykule przedstawiono identyfikację, rodzaje i źródła zagrożeń bezpieczeństwa, które należą od dawna (istnienia człowieka) do wartości najbardziej cenionych i chronionych zarówno przez jednostki, jak i narody. Bezpieczeństwo obejmuje aspekty polityczne, militarne, czynniki ekonomiczne i technologiczne, ekologiczne, społeczne oraz humanitarne. Oprócz przedstawionych czynników od zarania dziejów świata dużą rolę odgrywają czynniki naturalne, które są niezależne, ale należy się z nimi bardzo liczyć. Wraz z rozwojem techniki wkroczyliśmy w zagrożenia techniczne, które są z jednej strony niezbędne w życiu codziennym człowieka, a z drugiej strony bardzo zagrażają człowiekowi. Przedstawione powyższe rodzaje zagrożeń zostały w sposób syntetyczny scharakteryzowane i opisane. Należy podkreślić, że przedstawione zagrożenia nie wyczerpują wszystkich, bo wraz z rozwojem techniki powstają coraz nowsze.
