Modern society is characterized by the disappearance of the sense of sin and guilt. This loss of moral responsibility leads the man to the loss of unity with God, with ourselves and with others. This fact poses a particular challenge to the moral and pastoral function of the Church. The unique "place" of man's encounter with God and with himself is the sacrament of penance and reconciliation. Hence, the ministry of the confessional and other forms of spiritual help of the priest in evaluating of human life, and directing it are a special challenge of contemporary times. The document of the Congregation for the Clergy "Priest - the minister of Divinity Mercy. Helpers for confessors and spiritual directors" was dedicated to this issue. Analyzing the content of these indications, in this article have been taken two issues: 1. Sacramental ministry of confessor.2. Confessor as a spiritual director.

Współczesne społeczeństwo charakteryzuje zanik poczucia grzechu i winy . Ta utrata odpowiedzialności moralnej człowieka prowadzi do utraty jedności z Bogiem, z samym sobą i z innymi.
Kierownictwo duchowe oznacza prowadzenie człowieka do doskonałości chrześci-jańskiej. Do istotnych celów kierownictwa duchowego należą: pogłębienie relacji z Bogiem, troska o rozwój życia duchowego i rozeznawanie duchowe.

The Spiritual direction means leading a human being towards Christian perfection. Even though the role of a spiritual director can be entrusted to a lay person, strictly speaking the spiritual directors are understood to be priests considering their priestly ordination, which should serve as the tool towards one’s holiness. Among the rele-vant objectives of the spiritual direction are the deepening of the relationship with God, taking care of the development of the spiritual life and spiritual discernment. The spiritual direction is an irreplaceable help for all who have the desire for spiritual growth.

Fraternity and paternity are two concepts that have appeared frequently in recent documents of the Church’s Teaching Office. They are meant to bring closer the complex structure of the relationships that exist between the individual members of the Church. Their spiritual understanding is based not on abstraction, but on the biological experience known to man. Paternity and fraternity are concepts related to family and social life, and when applied to religious space, they do not retain their universal and fundamental understanding. Fr Benoît-Dominique de la Soujeole OP’s book is a theological reflection on the understanding of the concepts of paternity and fraternity and their implications for priests and spiritual directors.
The valid Code of Canon Law lays down that minor seminars should be preserved and promoted, or where appropriate, the new ones should be created. This article presents an overall organisational structure of the minor seminary. First, the synthetic history of minor seminars is presented. Next, the persons responsible for didactic and educational dimension of the seminar are described. The final part depicts an organisation of "special religious formation" in the minor seminary.

Padre Pio’s letters to his spiritual adviser Padre Benedetto from San Marco in Lamis provide a unique window into the spiritual life and struggle of the Saint. Into the spiritual life and struggle. Padre Pio suffered both body and spirit. In the Epistolario I he described his physical pains of different kind. He felt the natural pains caused by illness or supernatural i.e. demonic torments and of the Divine origin (transverbation, stigmata). Describing his sufferings during the “Dark Night of the Soul” he pointed out some reasons of his anxieties and temptations. In this paper, I didn`t give any theological or philosophical explanation of the nature of sufferings. I d’like only to sketch a specific itinerary of Father Pio`s spiritual life. All those sufferings allowed him to purify his soul and to reach God.

Autor artykułu próbuje przedstawić zjawisko cierpienia, opisane przez o. Pio w jego korespondencji skierowanej do o. Benedetto z San Marco in Lamis.
