Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie przede wszystkim stosunku rokoszan do miejscowej ludności, nastrojów panujących wśród mieszkańców starostwa sandomierskiego, konsekwencji wojny domowej, oraz innych sytuacji z ich życia (np. sporów granicznych, niezadowolenia z poczynań starosty), mających wpływ na życie zwykłego człowieka w początkach XVII w. Rewizja spustoszenia z 1606 r. to dokument typowo gospodarczy, jednak „między wierszami” możemy wyczytać jakie były praktyki rokoszan wobec ludności cywilnej oraz jak ta wojna domowa wpłynęła na sytuację społeczną mieszkańców.

The aim of the article is to present fi rst of all the att itude of those who formed rebellion towards the local population, tendencies among inhabitants of Sandomierz county, the consequences of the civil war and other everyday situations infl uencing on the daily life of the ordinary person in Sandomierz at the beginning of seventeenth century. Revision of the devastation is typically economic document, but we can read between the lines what kind of practices were undertaken against civilians and the way in which the war infl uenced on the social and an economic situation of those local people.
