Nazwy bułgarskich klubów piłki nożnej – między własną tożsamością a ideologią

The article offers an original functional classification of the names ofBulgarian football clubs, competing in the top three levels of the nationa football pyramid during the 2014/15 season. The names of 92 clubs depict various specifics of Bulgarian sports onomastics such as the strong heritage of the socialist period (1946–1989) in the country, the tendency of naming clubs in honour of historical figures from the National revival period in the middle of XIX c. and a distinct preference towards Thracian and Slavic old names of cities and regions. A very small number of clubs named after their sponsors reveals another significant distinction. The article’s basic conclusion is that the principles behind naming Bulgarian football clubs are unique, lacking in historical continuity and with an unpredictable future.

W artykule zaproponowano autorską funkcjonalną klasyfikację nazw bułgarskich klubów piłki nożnej, występujących w trzech najwyższych ligach krajowych w sezonie 2014/15. Klasyfikacji poddano 92 nazwy klubów. W zgromadzonym materiale odzwierciedlona jest specyfika sportowej onomastyki w Bułgarii. Widoczne jest więc dziedzictwo epoki socjalizmu (1946–1989). Można również zaobserwować tendencję  do nadawania nazw klubów na cześć postaci historycznych z epoki odrodzenia narodowego z połowy XIX wieku. Nazwy klubów często nawiązują do dawnych trackich i słowiańskich nazw poszczególnych miejscowości i regionów. Rezultaty przeprowadzonej analizy wskazują na istnienie pewnych szczególnych i osobliwych prawidłowości w zakresie nadawania nazw bułgarskim klubom piłkarskim oraz świadczą o braku ciągłości historycznej tego procesu.
