Compared with traditional forms of education and training, e-learning is gaining increasing importance not only within the academic setting of formal education, but also in the corporate environment. Concerning the latter, it is evident that with increasing pressure on cost efficiency and competitiveness, in addition to the current harsh financial and economic conditions, companies are being challenged and this tends to change their behaviour patterns. In this article, the results of a survey are presented. The survey focused on the current status and possible future trends of corporate e-learning methods in Slovenia, which is among the so-called transition countries. This survey brings more than one aspect of this issue to light. The findings show increasing rates of acceptance of the e-learning education model by the local corporate environment. Nevertheless, significant gaps are evident when compared with the most advanced European and worldwide economies in terms of the widespread use of comprehensive e-learning models and the latest e-learning technologies, such as LMS systems. Furthermore, the survey reveals that e-learning is perceived by companies as cost efficient and flexible, but on the other hand it is not yet perceived to contribute to a higher quality level of staff training when compared with traditional methods.

The main purpose of the article is to present issues of staff training for the purposes of marina management. Particular attention was paid to training as a way to improve and develop marina employees. The problem was presented using the example of specialized training for marina employees and operators. It was prepared according to a training process – a procedure based on selected research techniques such as CAWI, nominal and interactive groups. Analysis of the entire training process presented in the article allowed for the formulation of conclusions. It was shown that there is a need to organize training courses for marina staff covering various thematic blocks in the training program consistent with the current situation and trends observed in nautical tourism.

Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zagadnienia kształcenia kadr na potrzeby portów jachtowych. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na szkolenia jako sposób na doskonalenie i rozwój pracowników portów jachtowych. Problem zaprezentowano na przykładzie specjalistycznego kursu dla pracowników i operatorów marin. Został on przygotowany według procesu szkolenia – procedury opartej na wybranych technikach badawczych, takich jak CAWI, grupa nominalna i interaktywna. Analiza całego procesu szkolenia przedstawionego w artykule pozwoliła na sformułowanie wniosków. Wykazano, że występuje zapotrzebowanie na kursy doszkalające pracowników portów jachtowych, uwzględniające w programie kształcenia różne bloki tematyczne. Jednakże muszą one być zgodne z aktualną sytuacją i trendami obserwowanymi w turystyce żeglarskiej.

This article considers education, vocational training and development of staff in large corporations, and governmental administration offices. Educational activities, intern-ships, counselling, seminars, conferences and staff meetings have been presented as cur-rent activities being undertaken. Some forms of self-education e.g.: e-learning, work-shops (classes) have been discussed. The author presents the benefits of staff training in enterprises especially in the context of the forecasted economic slowdown.

Refleksja snuta w tym tekście dotyczy kształcenia, dokształcania i doskonalenia zawodowego kadr w dużych korporacjach pracowniczych, takich jak: Stocznia Gdań-ska S.A., Artceler Mittel Poland (prywatny koncern czterech polskich hut wykupio-nych przez L. Mittela), utworzone przez Francuzów przedsiębiorstwo (kilka oddzia-łów w naszym kraju) elektrociepłownicze EDF Polska CUW sp. zo.o., urzędy – wojewódzki i marszałkowski (dużego województwa). Dwie pierwsze z tych korporacji to przedsiębiorstwa przemysłowe. Trzy następne zaliczono do sporej wielkości instytucji usługowych.

The purpose of the article is to study the main components of teachers’ corporate education model as an innovative technology of their postgraduate education by which the favorable image of education institutions, united corporate goals, values, strategic communications are formulated and the corporate culture level of the institution is raised. The following general scientific methods were used at the theoretical level to reveal and justify the essential aspects of a particular research subject: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, comparison, formalization, abstraction, modeling. The main legislative approaches to postgraduate pedagogical education are considered in the article, the prospects for the teachers’ non-formal and informal education development in the industry reform conditions are outlined. The main stages of the foreign experience of the formation and consistent development of the corporate staff training system are given. The efficiency of corporate training systems in other industries, arguments in favor of the author’ assumption about the prospects for their implementation in education institutions are formulated. Theoretical approaches to exploring the issue of training and developing education institutions teachers on corporate technology were revealed. An attempt to popularize strategic management of personnel in educational institutions through “intra-firm” and corporate training of teachers was made. It implements the every teacher’ right to continuous education, taking into account the strategic priorities and development goals of the education institution. The main components of the corporate training model for teachers of education institutions were determined. As a conclusion, corporate training can take a worthy place among the innovative models of the teachers' postgraduate education, because it is aimed at integrating the objectives of the corporate strategy of the education institution development and the strategy of the pedagogical workers’ development (training, formation of readiness for change in the reformation situation). Further development and study are needed by the normative base, pedagogical conditions of activation and dissemination of “intra-firm” education and corporate training of teachers in the practice of strategic management of the educational institutions staff, formation of psychological readiness of teaching staff to this innovative technology of postgraduate education.
