Artykuł koncentruje się na ukazaniu specyfiki pracy i rozwoju zawodowego nauczyciela. Przeanalizowano stadia, przejawy oraz uzasadniono konieczność rozwoju zawodowego nauczycieli w ciągu całego okresu aktywności zawodowej, traktując kolejne stadia rozwoju jako hierarchię uzyskiwanych pozycji zawodowych w toku pracy. Odwołano się także do obowiązujących uwarunkowań prawnych regulujących i wymuszających kolejne stopnie awansu nauczyciela.

The article focuses on presenting the specific of the job and the professional development of teacher. The article contains analyses of stages, symptoms and grounds form necessary of teacher professional development within the whole professional activity. Successive stages of development are treated as hierarchy of vocational positions acquired during professional career. References are also to legal regulations in regulating and inducing another stages of professional development.
