Wybory strategiczne odbywają się w warunkach niepewności, a decydenci podlegają wpływom różnych czynników egzogenicznych i endogenicznych. Do rzadko podejmowanych przedmiotów dyskusji naukowych należy wpływ na zarządzanie strategiczne czynników określanych mianem „instytucjonalne”. Deficyt rozważań w tym zakresie przedmiotowym był wielokrotnie zgłaszany przez badaczy. Stał się inspiracją do przygotowania tego opracowania. W treści artykułu rozważa się z jednej strony potencjalny wpływ instytucji i logik instytucjonalnych na wybory i zachowanie przedsiębiorstwa w perspektywie strategicznej, a z drugiej strony wpływ zarządzania strategicznego na instytucje wewnątrzorganizacyjne i międzyorganizacyjne. W końcowej części artykułu uwzględniono uwarunkowania organizacyjne wyborów strategicznych. Artykuł powstał na podstawie analizy ustaleń teoretycznych z zastosowaniem analizy krytycznej literatury.

Strategic choice takes place under uncertainty conditions; and the decisionmakers involved are influenced by various exo- and endogenous factors. A rarely discussed research topic is how the so called institutional factors affect strategic management. A shortage of studies in this area has been frequently reported by researchers. It has become an inspiration for the present article. On the one hand, the article discusses the potential impact of institutions and institutional logics on the choices and the behaviour of the company and, on the other, it investigates the influence of strategic management on intra-organisational and inter-organisational institutions. In the final part organizational determinants of strategic choice has been discussed. The article is based on a theoretical analysis.
