Członkowie zespołu Nocny Kochanek działają na heavymetalowym rynku muzycznym już od roku 2003, choć przez kilkanaście lat bez większych sukcesów. Przełom nastąpił w roku 2012, kiedy to na marginesie swojej „poważnej” działalności muzycy stworzyli kilka prześmiewczych utworów. Pierwszy został skomponowany do animacji Kapitan Bomba. Pod zasugerowaną przez reżysera Bartka Walaszka ironicznie brzmiącą nazwą Nocny Kochanek, Zdrajcy metalu? – fenomen muzyczny i medialny zespołu Nocny Kochanek pozostając w idiomie metalu i garściami czerpiąc z kanonu gatunku, muzycy zaczęli tworzyć coraz bardziej kpiarskie i swawolne teksty, wyśmiewając idee uprawianej stylistyki; jednocześnie świadomie stali się parodią własnej przeszłości.

The members of the Nocny Kochanek band have been operating on the heavy metal music market since 2003, although for several years they did not achieve any major success. The breakthrough came in 2012, when on the margin of their “serious” activity, the musicians created a few mocking songs. The first one was composed for Captain Bomba’s animation. Under the name of Nocny Kochanek (suggested by director Bartek Walaszek), and remaining in the idiom of metal and drawing in handfuls from the canon of the genre, the musicians began to create more and more playful texts, ridiculing the idea of the style being practiced; at the same time, consciously becoming a parody of their own past.
