Artykuł definiuje syndrom Syzyfa jako zachowania osoby podejmującej wciąż ten sam wysiłek w danej dziedzinie, który jednak w ostatecznym rezultacie nie doprowadza jej do sukcesu. Na powstanie syndromu Syzyfa w AT decydujące znaczenie ma destrukcyjnie uformowany skrypt. Jego ujawnianie się w zachowaniach zawodników może negatywnie wpłynąć na uzyskanie pomyślnego wyniku sportowego.

The article defines the Sisyphus Syndrome as the behaviour of an individual who persistently undertakes the same kind of effort in a given field of activity, however, without achieving success. This syndrome in TA is formed as a result of a destructive life script. Sportsmen who display this syndrome in their behaviour usually do not achieve significant success in sport.
