The concept of enterprise has its own settled and consolidated position in economics and other allied sciences nowadays. Without „enterprise”, one of the most important term, there is no debate in the area of economics, logistics and even politics. Accordingly it is worth to focus on the issue of enterprise and its significance. All the available literature on enterprise takes into consideration many options of the idea of enterprise. A wide range of meanings seems to set out to define enterprise more precisely. To solve that problem means to compose terminology of science, to set an interchangeable meaning for enterprise. No doubt, it will influence the term to be more expressive. The author of the article describes in outline the context of enterprise, trying to show both variance and similarity in the enterprise based on some definitions. The enterprise concept is a subject of considerable debate although the article might contribute a number of studies towards liability to have a good grasp of the meanings of enterprise.

W artykule przedstawiono syntezę badań na rewizją finansową. W syntezie wykorzystano zbiór artykułów dostępnych w polskiej domenie publicznej w latach 2000–2016. Wyboru próby dokonano z wykorzystaniem bazy indeksowej BazEkon. Zastosowano analizę opisową publikacji połączoną z metodami analizy częstotliwości tekstu. Wyniki badań przedstawiono na tle międzynarodowych prac syntetycznych dotyczących rewizji finansowej. Uzyskane wyniki skłaniają do poglądu, iż w polskich pracach dominują analizy ryzyka i formalno-prawne. Zidentyfikowano potencjalne obszary badawcze w szczególności dotyczące przeglądów międzynarodowych i regionalnych oraz deficyty takich metod, jak eksperyment badawczy czy analizy ekonometryczne na dużych próbach. Badanie przedstawia materiał empiryczny dla decy-dentów politycznych umożliwiający kreowanie i rozwój polityk badawczych w obszarze rewizji finansowej.

This paper provides a review of Polish research on auditing. The review is based on papers available in the Polish public domain (open access publications) for the period 2000-2016. The sample was taken from the BazEkon database. The paper applies descriptive analysis and text mining methods. The results were placed within the context of international audit research synthesis. The results indicate that issues dominating in Polish research are risk analysis and legal aspects. The paper identifies potential areas for research, namely cross Central European policy review with application of the experiment and large size sample econometrics research. It also provides empirical material for policy makers allowing them to develop research policies in the field of audit.

W artykule autor stara się uzasadnić potrzebę zwrócenia większej uwagi w nauce na dokonywanie syntezy związanej z problemami nauczania zarządzania i kierowania ludźmi, zwłaszcza w procesie pracy. Powołuje się na historyczne i współczesne opracowania preferujące taki kierunek rozważań. Nie stanowi on jednakże w nauce tematu zasadniczego, co zdaniem autora, może być szkodliwe dla szeroko pojętej humanizacji nauki i jej zastosowania w praktyce. Rozpatrywanie oddzielnych zagadnień w ZZL jest tylko zajmowaniem się narzędziami, a nie ideą oddziaływania na ludzi.

In the article the author strives to justify a need to pay more attention in science to performing a synthesis related to the problems of teaching management and leadership, especially in the labor process. Reference is made to historical and contemporary studies that prefer this particular direction for consideration. It is not science’s essential theme. This, according to the author, can prove detrimental to the wider humanization of science and its application in practice. Examination of individual issues in HRM is only a fixation on tools, not a concept for influencing people.

‘To save the home country from migrational distance… Lithuanian art and Lithuanian artists on emigration (1940-1990)’ (Moscow 2012) focuses on stressing the importance of the work under discussion. First and foremost, it should be pointed out that it is the first synthesis encompassing such an extensive subject, which has not thus far been examined. It is also emphasized in the review that the composition of the work as well as its abundance in content are worth noting (230 profiles of Lithuanian painters and graphic artists are presented). Additionally, we should appreciate the methodological values and the diligence of the author in research. On the other hand, the lack of illustrative material seems to be a drawback of the work. All in all, the work is highly assessed.

Jedną z charakterystycznych tez dla klasycznego amerykańskiego pragmatyzmu (w skrócie TP) oraz współczesnego neopragmatyzmu (w skrócie TNP), w odniesieniu do zagadnienia: „Jak umysł i język odnoszą się do świata?” jest ta, że idee podmiotu i przedmiotu poznania nie mają charakteru pierwotnego i autonomicznego. Owe idee były raczej traktowane przez przedstawicieli pragmatyzmu jako efekt pewnego procesu, który w porządku pojęciowym, reprezentowanym na przykład w analizie pojęciowej, lub ontologiczno-redukcyjnym był uznawany jako bardziej podstawowy. Współcześnie jednym z najbardziej oryginalnych i szeroko dyskutowanych neopragmatystów drugiego pokolenia, któremu można zasadnie przypisać TNP, jest amerykański filozof Robert B. Brandom. Zaskakującą rzeczą w jego koncepcji jest to, że formułuje on TNP odwołując się w swojej semantyczno-pragmatycznej wykładni do interpretacji słynnej tezy Kanta o transcendentalnej jedności apercepcji. Celem artykułu jest po pierwsze przedstawienie tezy pragmatyzmu w ramach koncepcji Brandoma oraz po drugie interpretacja, zgodnie z którą istnieją podstawy, aby stanowisko Brandoma określić mianem transcendentalizmu.

One of the characteristic theses of the classical American pragmatism (in short TP) and contemporary neopragmatism (in short TNP) with regard to the question: "How do the mind and language relate to the world?" is that the concepts of the subject and object of knowledge are not primitive and autonomus. Rather, these concepts were construed by the pragmatists and the neo-pragmatists as a result of a process which, in the order of philosophical explanation, reflected e.g. in conceptual analysis or ontological reduction, was considered to be more basic. Today, one of the most original and widely discussed neopragmatists, who can reasonably be recognized as belonging to TNP, is an American philosopher Robert B. Brandom. What is surprising in Brandom’s theory is that it is formulated against the background of a semantic-pragmatic interpretation of Kant's famous thesis about the transcendental unity of apperception. The purpose of this article is, firstly, to present Robert Brandom’s theory as a version of TNP and, secondly, to provide an interpretation, according to which there is a reason to describe Brandom’s neopragmatism as transcendentalism.

The ideational content of the poem is represented by the belief that aesthetic harmony of poetry is a potential to solve ethical problems of human existence.

The article is an attempt to synthesize the evolution of Polish poetry after 1990. This symbolic date, associated with the official end of censorship and the symbolic beginning of the new time in Poland and last decade in the twentieth century, has been chosen as a border date. The author is interested in the process of creation and its mechanisms of describing the world in the work of Krzysztof Siwczyk. This poetry is important because it synthesizes the individual and collective experience and reflects the present.

Jednym z poważniejszych błędów, również współczesnych autorów, oceniających znaczenie średniowiecznej filozofii w rozwoju nauk, jest ich zapominanie o uwarunkowaniach tego okresu oraz właściwym temuż kontekście. Powodem tego jest opieranie się na ocenach pochodzących z innych epok, np. oświecenia, poza tym rzadkie, jeszcze do niedawna, sięganie do źródeł i posługiwanie się ich interpretacjami. Tymczasem średniowieczna filozofia przyczyniła się do zachowania wielu bardzo ważnych dzieł oraz tradycji starożytnej myśli, zarówno pogańskiej, jak i chrześcijańskiej. Umożliwiła niespotykaną dotąd syntezę dzięki uniwersalistycznemu, a więc szanującemu nie tylko rozum i wiarę podejściu do prawdy, ale również inne, zainteresowane nią zdobycze. To właśnie na gruncie średniowiecznej filozofii odróżniano od niej teologię jako zainteresowaną innym przedmiotem, co dawało początek wyodrębniania z niej innych nauk, zwłaszcza szczegółowych, tworzących odtąd nowe tradycje. Pierwszymi zatem uczonymi w tym sensie, jak i twórcami nauk szczegółowych, byli średniowieczni filozofowie.

One of the major mistakes in assessing the significance of medieval philosophy for the development of science is omitting all the historical context in which philosophy and sciences evolved. Meanwhile, medieval philosophy has made a synthesis of faith and intellect. It also distinguished philosophy from theology which gave the beginning of new branches of science. For this reason, medieval philosophers should be considered also as scholars in the contemporary sense of the word.
